    THIS CABIN WAS FORMALLY KNOWN AS COOLEY'S MOUNTAIN MAGIC. The new owners have kept the rustic mountain feel that returning guests have grown to know and love. Additionally, they have updated some features and added beautiful custom artwork throughout the property. This is a must see for new and returning guests alike! If you want the true cabin experience... Nestled in the Trees... Warm, Rustic and Cozy, The Sleeping Owl Lodge may be perfect for you! This cabin can sleep up to 14 people with 4 bedrooms upstairs and a large master bedroom downstairs. There are 2 bathrooms, and one bathroom features a Jacuzzi bathtub! The bedrooms in this cabin are each unique and fashioned after rustic moutain themes. The cabin comes with a full kitchen including the dishwasher, washer and Dryer, flat screen TV in every room, living room with warm furnishings, western antiques and a large rock fireplace. Enjoy the wildlife on the full outside deck, complete with Bird/squirrel feeders and plenty of seating. Outside picnic area with a BBQ, Horseshoe pit and Fire pit and there is a horse corral & dog run. Cabin comes with free dvd rentals.

Everything was beautiful, easy to find, clean, and great communication. The layout of the cabin optimized sleeping space upstairs while still being very comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again!

Greer stay with family

The location was excellent and quiet. The rooms were nice. The beds were ok, little hard for our taste. Loved the large log cabin feel.

Family outing

Plenty of space for 5 adults, 2 children and one infant. Greer is a wonderful quaint little hamlet…abundant wildlife esp elk and deer. Close to many activities. Stayed 4 nights, perfect amount of time with a four hour drive to and from Phoenix. Great family time.

Thanksgiving fun

Steep stairs for little ones or those with health problems. Wood burning fire place smokes out the house because of poor ventilation. Bring special cooking tools and pans etc. accommodated the family and dog beautifully. Nice property.

Sleep Owl Lodge review

The property itself was super cool and was great at accommodating our large family group. The decor is exactly what I would expect from a cabin in the woods which I loved! My only negatives and I wouldn't really say it's a negative just want to give an honest review for people that could be bothered by this, the bathrooms and kitchen could use a bit of reno however it was completely functional. The stairs to go up to the second level were very steep so keep this in mind with elderly folks or small children. The water was always hot for showers which I greatly appreciated with so many of us staying there. Overall we enjoyed our stay and love Greer so much. We are thinking of doing another family reunion next year and we would definitely stay at the Sleep Owl Lodge cabin again.

The location was great! We loved the views and the space for parking and the kids being able to play outside. We spent the majority of our stay either away from the cabin or outside the cabin due to the extreme dust inside especially upstairs in the bedrooms. It was extremely difficult to sleep or spend time inside the cabin due to dust allergens and noticing the cabin has not been cleaned regularly or has not been rented out often due to dust reasons especially with cabin having a lot of carpet. The stairs, were very steep making it a hazard or difficult for going up and down the stairs especially with little kids and tall people which hit their heads every time going upstairs. The bathrooms were disgusting and definitely need a deep cleaning and maintenance or upgrade. The bunk beds had trash on the top bunks from previous stays that we had to pick up and throw away and the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable being that they have been used and worn out and need replacement, thankfully we brought our own. Cabin was extremely hot due to no A/C or fans making the inside very humid and hard to sleep even with the windows open. Throughout the cabin but mostly near all the beds we noticed a lot of spider webs and dust accumulated on the lights. Overall, we all felt gross taking a shower or using the restrooms and uncomfortable sleeping. We left with swollen eyes and being congested after. First and last stay here.

Beautiful decorations throughout the whole cabin. Each room was decorated with hunting and fishing items on the walls! All 11 of us enjoyed how it looked inside, making it a great experience! The large front porch and big yard was a plus, as well as seeing all the wildlife! The kitchen cabinets and oven and stove need to have a real good cleaning though!

Nice Stay

The cabin is beautiful as is the area. Kitchen well stocked. Porch well set up and propane fireplace a great addition. Management was quick to respond to any concerns. Cabin needs good in-depth cleaning to shine to its full potential but acceptable. Overall -- great stay for our family.

Our first stay at this cabin was awesome!

There is plenty of room and we are so glad you accept animals. We love the outdoor grill and the kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable. Our family had a wonderful time and we hope to go back. Our only suggestion is that you supply more toilet paper in the bathroom and more paper towels. More kitchen drying towels would be nice too. Overall....A+

Property was filthy, would not stay stay again

Property was filthy, linens and towels were dirty when we got there. Kitchen had food on counters and the pots and pans had left over food and oil in them. Only one TV worked and the Internet was hit/miss. The stairs to the bedrooms (all upstairs) are extremely steep. Cobwebs and dust on everything. Property did not live up to the pictures. Very disappointed!
