Breakfast was simple but made to order. The location was excellent, with artists' galleries and a variety of restaurants nearby . The staff were quick to respond to any requests we made. The neighbourhood is very safe, with lots of restaurants and bars (as well as some shops, art galleries, even a theatre) in very easy reach, and an easy walk from the Malecón and downtown Guayaquil. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was fine. But again, it is the building that is the star here: an exceptional place in an exceptional location. La casa al ser antigua es muy bella. Tiene un balcon de uso comun con vista al río precioso. Es precioso el hotel, la arquitectura y el diseño de interiores te transporta a otro siglo por lo bello que es. Antiguo, pero no se siente viejo ni anticuado, sino histórico. La habitacion que nos asignaron tenia una entrada de luz natural. En resumen, mas instalaciones son preciosas. El personal fue muy amable y estuvieron pendientes de cualquiera de nuestras necesidades. El desayuno era muy bueno y completo, suficiente para que explores la ciudad todo el dia hasta encontrar un sitio donde almorzar. La ubicacion es muy estrategica para poder visitar Las Peñas, el Cerro Santa Ana y el Malecón 2000\. We had a great time. It was close to Malecon 2000 as well as the revitalized Santa Ana area along the river. Staff was wonderful—accommodated my request to change my reservation to the next day when my flight was delayed and gave me breakfast at 6:30am for an early morning flight. Be ready for lots of steps (it’s an old building and there is no elevator).
