We also were woken at midnight to water coming through the ceiling in the bathroom from the unit above us. It was also a very noisy area due to the closeness of mutilple bars. The door to my room was beyond sticky, they mentioned it when i checked in. It took all my might to open it. Why not just fix the door? Once inside the room, it was quite nice. The staff was so nice, friendly, and accommodating. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe. The pool isn’t heated, but being on the roof and directly on the sun the water is warm. I also loved this is a no smoking property because then I didn’t have to wake up and walk out into puffs of smoke. The property is also so clean. I loved that. There is a Chinese restaurant next door, a bar that has karaoke with happy hours and daily specials, and a three minute walk has the perfect coffee shop for breakfast along with a convenience store. You are close to every thing and can walk anywhere, but just the few minutes really keeps ya away from the craziness that Hampton can have. You are also a two minute walk from the beach. So it is absolutely perfect.
