"This is a nice old inn. The highlights of our room were the excellent bedding inclluding high-quality sheets, and a nicely done new shower. The downside was that we never saw a single person – guest or staff. It seems that this is a self-serve inn, from retrieving your key from a lockbox to brewing your own coffee in the morning. This turned out not to be a huge problem, but it did seem strange to have no human contact."

"This was such a beautiful and relaxing place. Thompson is a quaint get away about an hour from Hartford and Boston. And this inn was gorgeously redesigned. We had a lovely drink on the patio with friends and then a very restful nights sleep."

"The property is in terrible condition. Broken toilet paper holder, peeling wallpaper, no wi-fi, broken ice machine, disrepairs in public spaces. Quite frankly, from the outside, when I first arrived, the building looked abandoned. On the plus side, the manager was very kind and helpful. The mini-fridge was excellent (most hotels they barely function)."
