汉普顿路滑雪中心

I have been staying at this resort for over 20 years. It used to be a great place to stay for the money. Over the last 5 years it has been going down hill. The prices have skyrocketed even in the off season. The rooms need to be updated. They still have that old carpet in the rooms. The mattress on the bed is really hard and they have these 4 long pillows on the bed that are flat as a pancake. The couch in the room was updated but now the table they still have in the room is very low for the couch. It would be nice if they updated the chairs on the balcony to something more comfortable to sit in. They definitely need to spray for bugs. While sitting on the balcony I killed two huge water bugs. Need to work on the electrical sockets. Some of them did not work. The bathroom lighting is terrible and the exhaust fan did not work. Put some bright LED’s in the bathroom please. The shower curtain kept sliding down the curtain rod. Wouldn’t stay in place. If you are going to charge these kind of prices to stay at this resort you really need to upgrade these rooms. The worst part was the main elevator not working properly. We were on floor 4. You could go up to level 4 but you could not come down off of level 4. We had to come down in the smaller elevator they have which was ok until we were leaving and had to use a luggage rack which did not fit in the smaller elevator. Now we had to carry our things down and make a couple of trips. Overall, just ok place.

The people that run the lodge were so helpful! We were going to be later coming in and had to leave early the next morning so we weren’t going to be able to visit the shops and I was really disappointed because I wanted an Ocracoke souvenir - the wonderful woman working that day arranged for someone from a local shop to work with me to choose a coffee cup via text pictures and the coffee cup was delivered to our room and was waiting for us when we arrived- just amazing personal service!!! The lodge was so cute and quaint and there were even real keys to open the hotel room door! So charming! Would stay here again!
