Cute house in the Woods on the river
This little house was perfect for our family of 4. Our girls slept upstairs in the loft. The house has just about any supplies that you might have forgotten so we definitely appreciated that. We had a variety of meals and used the gas grill for hot dogs and burgers. Communication with the host was quick and helpful. My daughter even added to the fairy garden in the front. the fain the front.

We just adored this property. It’s cozy and inviting. The host thoughtfully supplies the basic necessities in case you forget anything. The home has a number of sweet touches that just make it a charming place to spend time. Checkin instructions were easy to understand and directions were accurate. The host is very responsive. We would definitely stay again.

River view.
The home it's self was very cozy and clean. The out side was the negative. Lot's of spiders on webs everywhere. Probably a non issue in colder weather. No water access on or near the property. Was still a nice quiet getaway.

Cozy, Quaint & Clean
Nice getaway spot! We didn’t have quite the view of the river as pictured on VRBO (area was a bit overgrown) but we still enjoyed relaxing on the back porch taking in the surroundings. If you happened to forgot anything (toiletries, sunscreen, etc) chances are this host provided it! Very thoughtful. House is well supplied with kitchen necessities, games, movies & resources for things to do in the area. Even though there is no WIFI, as host stated, we were able to watch tv with the antenna. It is a very peaceful location and an enjoyable stay.

Quiet Retreat
We enjoyed our stay. We were in town for a graduation and it was perfect for our family and close to Asbury. There was a lot of extras…toiletries, other necessities and coffee as well as little things not thought of by most host. Places to improve would be to replace the vertical blinds with sheer/lightweight curtains. The futon was a bit challenging to manage. I would definitely stay again. ❤️

Road Closed to Access Property
We were really looking forward to this trip! Bought groceries to last us the entire stay as well as bringing our kayak for the river. However when we got to the last turn for Hwy 68 which is the ONLY ROAD TO THE PROPERTY, it said road closed for 15 miles. We still attempted to turn on the road and about 1 mile later we had to turn around due to a bulldozer blocking the entire road. We drove back into their "town" because there was no cell service....called the owner and explained we could not get to the cabin. Unfortunately, we were never able to access the property.

Mother Daughter Trip
My mom and I came from California to stay in Kentucky for a week. We wanted a quiet place near Lexington and horse farms after attending the Kentucky Derby to spend time together relaxing, doing puzzles, playing games, watching movies and sitting on the back porch with a cup of coffee or a glass wine. It was absolutely perfect for everything we wanted! The house was well stocked, had lots of games, puzzles, and movies, and was perfectly situated in a quiet, scenic area close to several little towns and not far from Lexington. We loved watching wildlife near the river and the deer in the yard. If we didn’t live so far away we’d come back again! Hopefully we can plan another stay here in the future!

It's a Great Little Hideaway and Fun!
Cute, secluded and cozy. We stayed during the winter months, and it was really fun. I bet in the summer it's really scenic. The river and cliffs are right there. There's a bunch to do around Lexington if you've never been there. Check out Frankfort too as it has some very interesting old homes.

Cozy & Relaxing little house in the woods
Nice small house nestled in between trees and a lime stone cliff overlooking the KY river. Very steep backyard; not easily accessible to the river. We went elsewhere for fishing. The two kayaks on the property were laying on the ground next to the house. They were not covered/protected and had a green slime/film (not alge) inside, so we did not use them. Very steep gravel driveway entering the property. Luckily enough we had a truck and no problem going up or down. Nice fire pit in the yard (we had to bring our own wood). Large gas grill on the back deck/patio worked well. We had relaxing mornings sipping on coffee outside looking at the river. Good water pressure and temperature in house. The queen size bed was a little older and not as comfy as we had hoped. No problems cooking on the little electric stove. It was very helpful having a washing/dryer in the house. The electric heating wall unit and baseboard heaters worked well. We were expecting a Keurig coffee maker as noted in the property description and brought K-cups with us; however, one was not found. Instead, a small regular glass coffee pot maker was provided. There were plenty of cooking utensils, pots/pans, dishes along with a variety of other kitchen items provided. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and experience!

Military reunion
Spent the week hanging out with a few buddies not physically seen since 1988. This place was great and as advertised! Sitting around the campfire, laughing over memories with a cigar and bourbon and making new ones. Location was a decent launching pad for bourbon distilleries and golf courses. View of the Kentucky river from the back porch was great. Everything we needed was in the house which made life even easier! Highly recommend this house and host!

Asbury University Reunion
We thoroughly enjoyed our little cabin by the river. We were there for a reunion at Asbury University for my wife, and we wanted someplace quiet and nearby where the kids and I could relax when not involved with reunion stuff. Being only 7 minutes away, this place was perfect for that. The property sits down a somewhat private dirt drive. The owners warn you about considering the type of vehicle you should bring, but our Prius had no trouble with it. There is plenty of foliage between you and any neighbors to make you feel like you are completely alone out there. The inside is very nicely decorated and fully furnished with everything you might need for entertainment and dining. My kids really enjoyed climbing the ladder to the loft for bed. There is no wifi, but we were able to connect our phones to the TV to watch movies we had downloaded as per the suggestion of the owners. Technically we did not really need that since we had plenty of other ways to entertain ourselves… mainly taking advantage of the outdoor space. There is a full size porch along the back of the cabin where you can look down at the river below. They have cleared a path down to the water where you can fully take in the Kentucky Palisades. The river was a bit low during our visit, so putting in kayaks would have been a little difficult. Besides the close proximity to the university, it was also nice and centrally located to many of the other sights and hiking trails we had come to do. The owners also put together a nice little folder filled with suggestions for things to see and do. With or without kids, we look forward to returning and staying here for the next reunion in 5 years.

Pretty cabin
We enjoyed the setting of this little house although the weather was rainy and cold almost the entire time. The house is well-stocked with basic supplies, the beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed the back deck (when we could) overlooking the river and Palisades cliffs. A few things to improve: the clean towels in linen closet were damp, the lawn needed mowed, the parking areas and driveway need gravel (the muddiness was made worse by the rain, yes). The VRBO description should state that you can only enter the bathroom through the downstairs bedroom. Thankfully, our family was pretty chill about this, but if I had known this arrangement, I probably would've chosen a different place. Even with these suggestions, we did enjoy our stay.
