“The Hager Hideaway is in the middle of everything and is a quiet, restorative oasis on its own. The 1830's farmhouse is absolutely charming and very cozy. We could have spent the entire weekend exploring Harrodsburg, but Bardstown is only an hour away via scenic back roads (less if via the Bluegrass Parkway), so we HAD to spend a day there. “Nice property. Beautiful view! Porches are great. Being a basement apartment made it difficult to rest due to host up doing construction or something quite early ior late 4 a.m. however you look at the situation. Hot tub was on the upstairs deck which wasn’t very private even though there were curtains on either end. The house windows were still available to be seen by anyone who chanced to look. There were many nice conveniences such as bath robes, candles, toiletries , coffee, frozen food……

“This was my first time using a VRBO and first time in Kentucky. The experience was everything I could have hoped for. We were in between all the sites we wanted to take in and gave us a home away from home. The cabin was quaint and peaceful. It was clean with great amenities. ”

The only downside is that we had trouble checking in. The VRBO app does not appear to be monitored very closely by the owner, and I had to be redirected twice to get help entering the cabin. No check-in instructions were sent ahead of time. I had to reach out to the owner for help when I arrived. Took about 30 minutes to gain access to the……
