"I was actually very pleased with this hotel overall. The room was clean, the location was excellent, and the beautiful coastal views were a real highlight. The underground car park was also very convenient, with a lift providing direct access to the hotel.
However, when my family was leaving, our car battery suddenly went flat. We asked the hotel reception for help, but unfortunately, the staff appeared rather cold and unhelpful. I really hope this was not simply because we had already checked out, as we were left feeling quite helpless.
In the end, we had to ask other guests if anyone had a battery charger. Surprisingly, the other guests were much more willing to help us, and we were very grateful for their kindness. Unfortunately, we still had to call the AA for assistance.
I understand that the hotel was not responsible for helping us with our car. However, as most guests arrive by car, I feel that having some basic equipment for dealing with common car problems would be a thoughtful and considerate service. It was a disappointing experience after an otherwise very enjoyable stay."
