“The Hotel is quaint and very historical. The staff were excellent . The parking was very difficult to find and the Sat Nav directions on the booking do not tell the full story and direct you to the front of the hotel with no parking! The carpets up to the rooms are in dire need of a very good clean or even better a replacement. “We booked a double room but were not told it was a disability access room. We were right next to the entry access door which banged open shut all night with other guests so hardly slept. Also the sink was small & far too low to use easily. The room decor & furniture was very low quality for such a beautiful building & the complementary tea etc & shampoo was very basic. This was not a cheap hotel & we were hoping for a beautiful room like the pictures but instead were left very disappointed.”
