Very well situated hotel in old building close to castle, train station, main street. Room seemed to be larger from the photos, but it had all we needed for the stay. View from the window was beautiful. Breakfast area simply amazing with lot of food choice. Parking is interesting, but easily doable.

We were like fish in water in the spacious corner room we got and we loved the view and the neighborhood. The breakfast room is also lovely, lots of windows along a picture perfect street of the old town. Plenty of old world charm and friendly staff.

Everyone was kind and the location was lovely! Curtains on the windows would have made a huge difference though. There are just flimsy blinds and some are broken, so if you are visiting in the summer with long hours of sunlight you’ll find the room bright at 5am! Pack a sleep mask for a better night sleep than I.

Full of charm and character.

Hotel Hamlet is full of the type of memorable charm and character that is a welcome change to the sterile blandness of most hotels. From the narrow passage ways to the small elevator, Hotel Hamlet is a charmer. We had the corner suite, thanks to an unexpected upgrade, and it was spacious and quiet.

Nice place to stay while seeing the surrounding town. The bathrooms were in need of some love (older, wear and tear), but I understand that it wasn’t meant to be a 5* resort. The room was clean and functional. It is located such that access to the castle and surrounding shopping districts are well within reach.

Good old hotel. It's clean, the breakfast is delicious, the staff is helpful, and everything you need is provided. I also like that they are considering about the detailed decoration in the hotel. I will stay when I get Helsingor again.

The checkin was smooth although we arrived late. The room was nice and tidy, but the walls very thin since you could hear the guy next door snoring. Great location, close to the station/harbour and city centre!

Even though I was more than an hour overdue for my original check-in time of 6:00 p.m., the closing time, the receptionist was still open and waiting for me. Check-in was very friendly and attentive. Although not spacious, the rooms were well furnished and comfortable.It should be noted that the location of the hotel is very close to the station. Thank you for a wonderful start to our trip to Denmark.

Just a few minutes walk from the train station and ferry, but unable to hear any public transport noise from my room. It’s a charming older hotel providing you the basic needs when travelling. Located in the Old Town. Walking distance to everything. Kronberg Castle is only a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel. The walls are thin and the floors creak, but I found it just added to the atmosphere. Felt safe as a solo female traveller. Would recommend it.
