Despite the characteristic warm and sometimes hot temperatures in this part of Florida, Germain Arena in Estero frequently has people of all ages ice skating to music on one of its three rinks. Rent figure or hockey skates at the arena to join others during the weekly public skate.
Skating is only one attraction at this 171,000-square-foot (15,900-square-meter) building. The arena has hosted popular acts and concerts, such as Cirque du Soleil, Stars on Ice, Elton John and Sting. It’s also the home of the East Coast Hockey League’s Florida Everblades. Pay to park in the lot that holds 2,000 vehicles on a 30-acre (12-hectare) property. Remember where you parked in this large lot as things can get confusing when everyone leaves the arena en masse.
