Great, quiet getaway!
Easy booking and place was exactly described on VRBO. You did not need to take kitchen utensils, as there is everything! Quiet and private, yet close to restaurants, food marketplace. Centrally located between 30-40 min distance from Helen, GA on one side and Blue Ridge, GA. Lastly, 10 minutes away from North Carolina. Great place!

Great Place!
We spent an enjoyable long weekend at Fernleaf. Very convenient location that was close to everything. Clean, prompt communication, and nice view. It was a bit too cold to enjoy the screened porch during our stay but we could imagine spending hours out there during warmer weather! Tip - take your first left after the tennis courts

My wife approved of this property, because of the advertised view of the lake. Once there, the view was not the same. It has been obstructed. Huge disappointment for her. Otherwise, the stay was pleasant. We will be more careful with property selections in the future.

Relaxation at it's finest!!!
We wanted to rest and get away and this was perfect. This was our second visit so you know we liked it! I'm a clean freak and this house is always cleaned to the extreme!!! We love the porch and the homey mountain feel... The only thing I would change if I could, would be to clear out the trees in front so you can see the lake and mountains better...we will be back, we love it there!

Perfect get away cottage
Great vacation property. The cottage was very clean, nicely decorated, and had a cozy gas fireplace which we thoroughly enjoyed. The kitchen was fully equipped with high quality cookware and utensils. The internet connectivity was strong and fast. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the large, comfortable back porch in the afternoons before dinner. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our second trip to Fernleaf Cottage, and if not for an accident (requiring knee surgery and cancellation of our trip in 2020), it would have been our third trip. The bedrooms and kitchen are "conveniences". Where we (two adults and three dogs) spend our time is on the large, screened back porch; on the deck; or walking down to the lake and then back up (13 floors up from lake). We experienced two fantastic sunrises that were visible from the deck on the east side of the house. When the description says "nestled in the trees," that is the truth. Very relaxing and refreshing if one wants to find a place to unwind with a book or hike in nature (many trails close by). The location is great for shopping, eating out and just exploring the local area. No problems connecting to the Internet if that is important. Looking forward to our next trip in 2022.

Fun at Fearnleaf
Our visit to Fearnleaf Cottage was fun & relaxing! We were able to get a transient boat slip for our boat at The Ridges Marina for a reasonable fee. The Marina is just down the road which made for an easy fishing adventure daily! The Cottage was comfy cozy and perfectly equipped! The screened lanai was great spot for my morning devotion plus our evening supper. All in all a GREAT experience. Thanks for sharing your cottage with us. Warm regards, Vicki & Jeff

Nice Quiet Retreat
We had a great time relaxing on the porch. Had everything that we needed to prepare our meals. The bedrooms were cozy and the linens were clean and smelled great. Rustic but charming. A lot of love has been in that house.

This was our first experience with VRBO and the host. The house was appointed well, very clean and tidy, and was very peaceful. Hard to beat a private house with a view of the mountains. The host accommodated me with allowing me to bring my dog-who is 14 yrs old and we did not want to go on vacation without her. Also, I asked if the host if she could put a small anniversary bouquet of flowers and candles out for our arrival. The balloon's, candles, flowers and cake were a nice touch for our anniversary vacation. I would highly recommend this location and the host was wonderful.

Kiawasse and the rounding areas are breath taking. The lakes, the brooks, the waterfalls, the mountains, the ducks on the lake, foxes, and rabbits are just examples of the Awesomenes of our LORD. We are so extremely bless to have experienced the creation of Almighty God. In addition, Ms. Cathy was an excellent host and even accommodated us a day earlier,. Her cottage was very clean and comfortablr . We hope to return again.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. Our one negative feedback is the scented detergent and soap. My family member is allergic to scented products. She brought her own unscented soap, but in my opinion it might be considerate to wash linens and blankets with an unscented detergent, as many people are sensitive to it. However, just one note everything else about our stay was wonderful and we had a lovely time. Also the kitchen being fully stocked is so true and we loved being able to cook for ourselves. I think most people are unaware of the commonality of such a sensitivity, given the popularity of scented products. I also realize that some people don’t really feel like linens or clothes are clean unless they smell heavily of detergent, so I understand it can be hard to please everyone. That was how I was personally raised and it took me personally having a skin sensitivity to the scented detergents to stop using it myself. Just an FYI and no judgement or anything, it is what it is and given the nature of scented product popularity it can be easy to forget how common allergic reactions are to things like that. I want to reiterate that I’m only mentioning it as an FYI, no fault to the hosts. You guys really thought of everything for a peaceful stay. Thank you for everything!

Beautiful place, all is there for your comfortable stay. Our dog loved it there.
There were only two of us with our dog, but would be awesome for the family reunion or get away with friends. Cathy is a great host, very helpful and kind. Thank you for the great stay!
