Beautiful property with a fantastic view of the mountains! Very enjoyable to have a glass of wine by the fire pit overlooking the mountains. Rooms were very nice and clean I could do without the barn doors on the bathroom though they don't offer total privacy when sharing a room. Food was good in the restaurant and the staff was very friendly.

Great views but overpriced for quality. Rooms smell like someone poured a bottle of bleach on the floor.

A relaxing atmosphere. Great location for people who love the outdoors and hiking. Lodge is comfortable, many with views of the mountains. Restaurant serves buffet only but we found the dinner meal tasty and salad bar was fresh and offered a variety of additions. Yeast rolls and biscuits were yummy.

The property was mostly clean and renovated since my last stay. Beautiful lodge, great views. Quick hike to the waterfalls was awesome. Check-in was simple. Staff was friendly. Unfortunately, due to a private gathering, the balcony and outdoor areas were closed off to others. I would have loved to sit outside with the kids too and watch fireflies outside, but oh well. Food: So my greatest complaint here was the food. First, we were charged a fee (Lodge fee I believe) about $20 that covered as told by desk staff “food, coffee, etc.” The dining area was closed when we arrived around 8:00 pm, so we decided to have breakfast. It.Was.The.Worst! Sorry, but I have to be honest here. The watermelon was good, the bacon was good, but beyond that, the food missed the mark. By a long shot. The kids were spitting out their chocolate muffins after the first bite. The gravy was odd in taste and gray in color, no salt to any of the food. My nephew didn’t even like the pancakes with syrup. And the bill for breakfast was $50. Great view of the mountains of Georgia, but I can go hiking for that and save the $50. The fact that I was charged the extra fee added insult to injury. We decided (Me and 2 kids) we’d rather hike hungry than eat another bite. Coffee was about a 5 out of 10.

Beautiful mountain view and easy access to the falls; excellent communal gathering spaces, both in- and outside; great walking trails; very helpful staff; the 600 stairs to the falls are more than a notion. Love the room with patio. We had a problem with our initial room—ants & smelled like smoke—but they moved us to a comparable room that was ant free and immaculate. Did not eat at the hotel, so cannot rate. Very relaxing.

For $260 for a one night stay it was terrible. We got there about 6pm and the dining room only had a Buffett nothing like what it showed online. Dinner was not good. The room was dirty. Thick dust was on the TV. Spider webs in the corner of the room. Cheerios we’re on the floor. In the middle of the night my teenage son woke me up because he woke up with a roach on him. Bathroom not very clean had to ask for more towels and washcloths. Breakfast buffet was pretty good and staff was friendly.

This place has an amazing view. It is well worth the trip. However, staffing was extremely short. When we attempted to check in at 3:45p, we were told the room wasn’t ready. She said she would call when it was ready. We hung around for a bit. It was obvious it was going to be a awhile so we went to get some food. After we were done, still no call. At 6:30p, I called back, and she said the room was ready. There was no explanation of the delay or lack of communication. When we arrived back at check in, there was no one there. Someone else said he had been waiting to check out an item from the gift shop (you pay for it at the front desk) for 10 mins and had not seen anyone. There were also people waiting in line to be seated at the restaurant. They were also frustrated with the lack of service. Some of them left prior to being seated. Once she arrived, again, no explanation. She acted like this was normal. The facility is very beautiful. The view is gorgeous. Despite the staffing issues, I would stay here again.
