Our stunning 2-story cabin offers an unparalleled experience, just 8 minutes South of the iconic New River Gorge Bridge and 10 minutes North of the pristine Summersville Lake.

Discover untouched wilderness as you wander over 3 miles of private hiking trails, immersing yourself in blissful seclusion. At night, marvel at the brilliance of the starry sky from the comfort of the bubbling hot tub, or gather around the crackling fire pit to share stories under the vast expanse of stars.

This spacious cabin boasts 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and 1900 square feet of living space, providing ample room for relaxation and rejuvenation. We aim to provide a 5-star experience, combining classic cabin charm with carefully selected modern touches and comfort, such as:

As stewards of a sprawling wildlife reclamation effort and habitat, we're passionate about conservation and continue to nurture a young fruit orchard and a variety of nut and foraging trees throughout the property. While our cabin offers an 'off the grid' experience, we keep you connected to TV and internet via satellite. A fully equipped kitchen and gas grill on the back deck ensure all your culinary needs are met, with grocery stores just a short drive away.

Cabin At The New is ideal for families and friends seeking a quiet and comfortable retreat, we do not allow parties, smoking, or pets. Come experience a property unlike any other in the area.

About the Owners: We are two sisters, along with our husbands and three young children. This cabin is our cherished retreat for creating family memories. It's a playful escape where we can unwind and take a break from our bustling lives. We are thrilled to share this special place with you and hope it becomes a part of your cherished memories too!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this property and the owners are. Everything was very clean, wonderful amenities and within the most beautiful cabin I've ever been in. It felt like home from the moment we walked in. The owners were very kind and went above and beyond to accommodate us and to make us feel extra special since we had come out that way and booked the cabin for our nearby wedding. It was a wonderful stay and we cannot wait to return. This cabin has become our new favorite place, we're homesick for it already!

Sweet Thanksgiving
Our family of 4 stayed at this beautiful cabin for 4 days at Thanksgiving, with my sister. It was perfectly equipped, impeccably clean, and in such a lovely setting. We had terrible weather when we first arrived which knocked the power out for 12 hours. Then lots of rain. But, even that was completely fine. The dining table is great for board games and cards! The owners are attentive and kept in touch, making sure we got through the outage just fine. The trails in back are beautiful, even when soaked in rain. And the hot tub and fire pit are perfect complements. We could not have had a nicer time. We would definitely love to return!

What a lovely, well appointed cabin and a great location! Easy and convenient access to the New River Gorge and neighboring areas of interest. A beautiful place to fully appreciate the spectacular fall changes in the mountains of WV. All of us enjoyed our stay and plan on returning.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT CABIN!!!
We stayed at Cabin at the New to get away for the weekend, be closer to the Spartan Race, and celebrate my daughter’s birthday. This place was exactly the size we needed (3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms) and the hot tub was AMAZING. Such a perfectly located, cozy, and quiet place. This stay was amazing - the property and the house were incredible, just what we were looking for to really unwind, disconnect and just relax. The house was great for our group - 4 adults and a 9 year old. It was clean and comfortable, very well stocked and had the little touches that stand out - good linens, basic spices, kitchen supplies/utensils, coffee filters, etc. And the property - BEAUTIFUL! The trails, the trees, the foliage... if you are really looking to disconnect, this is the place! The grounds were well maintained, the sunroom was a favorite of ours as was the hot tub. Close to so many activities - hiking, tours, swimming, boating - never a chance to get bored. And while we don't expect needing anything or much attention from the owners on stays like this, if you have an issue, you want owners to respond quickly. The one time we needed to ask about something on this stay, someone was very quick to respond. I only wish we didn't have to leave, I certainly was not ready to! This is the kind of property that I would never question returning to and one I kinda wish I had for myself :) I miss it already!

From the time we booked this property the owner went above and beyond! They made sure the Christmas tree was up. And all the essentials we could need to get our stay going. Property was just as beautiful as the pictures showed. My family was able to play games and really enjoy each others company!

Beautiful but don’t stay for hot tub
The cabin is very charming and cozy. However, we rented this property largely for the hot tub and was told it was set to 100* and ready. We stayed in motels d December and it was around 30-40* outside. We were unable to use the hot tub all weekend because the temperature lock was on and the water never got above 90* and we left the cover on all weekend. Given the temperature outside, the water was too cold to get in. Otherwise, no complaints.

We had a great time at the Cabin. It's in an excellent location, with convenient access to a load of trails, visitor centers, and river access. We did some really long, memorable hikes around New River and the house was perfect to come back to at the end of the day. It was clean, had all of the advertised amenities and was very quiet, private, and peaceful. We'd recommend the cabin to anyone without hesitation.

Beautiful Cabin
This was a fantastic place for my friends and I to get away for a weekend and visit Summersville Lake. Had a blast on the lake all day then came back to relax and enjoy the peaceful cabin in the evenings. Tim was awesome to communicate with and would definitely stay here again if we come back to Summersville lake.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cabin at the New. The area has lots of natural beauty & outdoor adventures to partake in. We were blessed with good weather & the cabin was clean & had everything we needed! We enjoyed time spent in the hot tub & on the decks outside & the indoor sunroom was great for playing games. The trails out back have potential but need some maintenance. We loved the convenient location which was also off the beaten path so we really were able to rest & relax. Overall, we would highly recommend a stay here!
