Great space to gather and retreat.
I’m not sure what our favorite part of our stay at Sandy Bottoms was but kudos to the kitchen ; easy to work around and loved the stove & oven. Plenty of cooking-dishes-and we absolutely loved the coffee maker. We loved our fluffy towels and the home had a resort feel. Early May is risky time of year we knew going into our stay but needed that date for a graduation celebration and had a beautiful gift awaiting us for this very event VERY thoughtful. We hosted my mom age 84 and she got around the house very well along with adult kids and friends which equaled 6 other young adults and our other daughter & her husband & baby we’re nearby and day visited. I loved how we could squeeze at one very large table. The deck space was neat and the weather cleared up so we did get a day or two on the deck. Only issue outside was the enormous amount of bugs! But we had a great time and made memories and managed a ride or two in the canoes. Thank you for such a great place. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the bedding on master bed didn’t match the house seemed it was missing a mattress pad &sheet didn’t stay fited but we are bedding snobs and a bit picky on fabrics. Overall we felt very blessed and grateful for our stay there.

Sandy Bottoms
Very nice. Gorgeous lake, but infested with zebra mussels. Water shoes must be worn. Lake wall, no sand beachfront. Four parking spots allowed, but actually there are more available. Raised fire pit was disappointing. Overall, not a great for the price.

Outstanding Property
This property is simply beautiful. It has been recently renovated, and the owners have thought of just about everything to make a stay a pleasant one! We absolutely loved the decor and the hospitality. The view can’t be beat. The lake is pristine. We had planned to boat, water ski, and jet ski the entire week but we had terrible weather and were not able to use the lake at all which was a huge disappointment (water temp was 51 and outside temp was 60ish). Due to the weather, we spent most of our time in Traverse City. This would be one suggestion I would pass on to the next renters. Poor weather will result in much travel time if you desire to travel to Traverse City or Petoskey (both 1:20 hours away) or Grand Haven (2.5 hours away). We loved this property as long as the weather cooperates, though. We are not too happy with Mother Nature right now!

Perfect, absolutely
Beautiful waterfront views, newly remodeled finishes, and spacious, top notch rooms for the whole family. The entire rental property was meticulously updated and filled with everything you need to cook, grill, and enjoy all meals with the family. Large deck with seating, bonfire pit and s’mores supplies… I can’t rave enough. The listing is completely accurate and in-person looks and feels even better. I know I’ll find myself renting this place every year for our family getaway. Thank you for providing such a beautiful rental property!
