We loved our stay! It was small, but had enough room for our family of 5. It was nice and far from the main road so it was nice and quiet, but still close to the places we wanted to go. Would love to visit again.

Freedom Ridge Cabins is the perfect place for a quiet, picturesque getaway. The cabins are individually named and are tiered up the mountain. Each cabin has a parking area, a small back deck with a picnic table, and a fire pit with seating around it, perfect for marshmallow roasting after dark. The cabin we stayed in was perfect for our needs.

15 mins from Mt Rushmore - great place!!!

Chace and Leslie are great hosts. The cabin was cozy and well equipped and supplied for my family of 5 (3 kids 7/7/4). The place has its own playground and view of nature/wild life. Plus this is a 15 mins drive to/from Mt Rushmore, and super close to Custer and Hill City.

We had an amazing stay at the Freedom Ridge cabin in Hill City. The 1-bedroom cabin with a living room, kitchen, and bathroom was perfect for our small family (2 adults and 2 kids). The cabin was very clean, cozy, and well-maintained, and it truly had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The deck with the BBQ grill was a great bonus, and we loved how secluded and peaceful the location was while still being very close to all the iconic attractions. Mt. Rushmore, the Black Hills, Custer State Park, and Needles Highway were all just a short drive away. Even Terry Peak Ski Resort was only about 1.5 hours away, which was perfect for our snow fun day. Self check-in and check-out were very smooth and convenient, and the hosts were well organized and thoughtful with all the details. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. It’s ideal for a small family, and they also have other cabins available for larger groups and different needs. We would definitely love to stay here again!

The property is decent but the outside grass around the cabin was unkept. Upstairs beds are complete garbage…they should be tossed out immediately. Very limited kitchen dishes, pots, and pans. Can’t imagine 6-8 people in here. The living space is pretty limited.

I had a wonderful stay at this cabin! The property was absolutely perfect—clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind in a peaceful setting. I had a minor issue with the door combination (completely my fault), but the hosts were incredibly responsive and came right away to assist me. Their kindness and prompt service made the experience even better. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway in a well-kept, beautiful cabin, I highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to return!
