"The staff was nice but check-in isn’t until 3pm so we had to leave and come back later. The electric window blinds were confusing to work. Had to call the front desk. We requested a handicapped room and it was large and comfortable but one nozzle in the roll in shower was loose and water spilled all over the bathroom floor so I had to dry that up. The wall plugs between the beds were loose so our plugs wouldn’t work. Other than that, the room was comfortable. We didn’t use the pool or get the breakfast. "

"It's an older motel, but it's being renovated. The heat lamp bulbs in the bathroom were missing and you could see a little age in the bathroom, but it was clean. No mold or mildew on the shower curtains, that was great. The room was spacious and clean. Nee flooring in the room and the sink was in great shape. Ice bucket had a crack in the bottom, but that was replaced. I would recommend some sort of black out shade for the window. While the current shade does a good job of blocking most light, a decent amount does still get through. It's a great place for an overnight stop to rest. The room was comfortable the a/c unit worked great. Patty's Restaurant is across the street and you will be full when you leave. Staff was very friendly."

"Our 4th visit to Doc Holladay’s VRBO! Why stay in a hotel! This place is well appointed, beautifully decorated, and comfortable! Coming home from FL, we always get off the interstate and take a less stressful route to this darling place in a quaint, safe community. Thx!"

"It was ok but there are some negatives. The young lady at the desk was great, at check in she walked me over to the next door building where the room was and showed me how to unlock the building and room door. I noticed though, walking up the stairs was very loud. The building is old and absolutely beautiful but that comes with a price. Every step you take, on floors, stairs and in room is incredibly loud. When you are in your room, you hear every footstep made in the building (especially the stairs) and you hear every bit of outside noise as though there is little to no insulation. There was no blind in our window, only a curtain. Thats fine unless you wanted to sleep in a bit. 630 am and the room was completely lit from daylight. Side note, on sat and sun, the cafe doesnt open until 8 am and there is no Continental breakfast. The cafe is now called "Birdies" and gives 10% discount on coffee to commodore visitors. That was quite disappointing because it was advertised on hotels.com listing. The place was very beautiful and clean, just noisy. Bring your own pillow too, the bed was alright but the pillows are absolutely terrible. Those negatives are ok if you know upfront, I would stay again but with lower expectations next time."

"The room was dirty. I spilled some water and when I cleaned it, my towel was black. At check-in the staff so so loud inside the lobby that I had to ask the receptionist to repeat her questions to me. There was no coffee/tea maker or even plastic cups to drink from. There was a huge spider crawling around the bathroom sink. This just wasn't a good experience for me. "
