“The Bambuda Lodge is a great place to stay and relax. It says Hostel but it is much more than that. You can book your private rooms and still enjoy the community.
They offer a family dinner with different dishes to choose from every day and you easily get to know other travelers.
There is regular activities planned. We especially enjoyed the Jungle Trail with our guide Samuel. He led us through the muddy jungle - a fun experience.

“I got a balcony but their is a dance club that blasts music until 2-3am Wed- Monday. Got sick with sinus issues lack of sleep and i think dirty AC. “The location was just far enough away from the busy Bocas Town it made it feel like we were on our own private island. Attractive rooms with the best view and an overall inviting aura. The thing that made this an 11/10 is the food and food service. Every meal was amazing and served with a friendly smile.

“Traveled in late Feb. ‘26. We stayed 1 night in Bocas Then traveled to outer islands. Clean room, location is good just a block to be on a Main Street for restaurants, bars & shopping. There is a wide balcony overlooking the street. Tables, chairs, ceiling fans. We played cards had some beers. The air conditioning works great. Beds were firm. Staff was helpful. I would stay again.

Für uns war dadurch die Nacht um 7 Uhr beendet. Leider gibt es keine Rezeption oder Security. An allen 3 Seiten wird leider noch gebaut. Die Anlage ist aber sonst sehr schön. “Beware! This hotel is not in central Bocas Town, even though that is where the Expedia map and the "View in a map" function shows the hotel to be. The hotel is actually on Isla Pastores, which is at least a 30 min boat ride from Bocas Town. The hotel is not at all convenient for the main Bocas del Toro attractions, such as snorkeling, surfing, Starfish beach, Red Frog beach, Zapatilla Islands, etc.
