"Everyone there was extremely helpful and always pleasant. Carlos was one of the best, and there were many! The room has a beautiful rounded balcony, and you can hear and see local talents singing and playing a violin or other instrument. Never loud, just right to give the right atmosphere. The location is EXCELLENT, with the Catedral and Plaza de Colon right in front. A block away is the stand where you can take the "chu chu train" around the Colonial part of the City. The famous Pantheon is a 5 or 10 minute walk. The restaurant downstairs is good, especially for lunch or dinner. Try their chorizo in wine and their hot chocolate. ¡Divino!"

"I had a great stay at Catalonia Santo Domingo. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and very attentive, which really set the tone for the visit. Check-in was smooth, and I felt well taken care of throughout my stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although they did feel a bit outdated. That said, everything was well-maintained, and housekeeping did a great job keeping the space tidy each day. The ocean views were definitely a highlight and made the room experience more enjoyable. The food overall was okay, but the breakfast buffet truly stood out. There was a great variety of options, everything was fresh, and the mimosas at breakfast were exactly the perfect touch; it made mornings feel a little more special. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get around Santo Domingo for both business and leisure. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its excellent service, cleanliness, and location. With a few updates to the rooms and some improvements to the dining options, it would be even better. I would definitely consider staying here again."

"Greeted and taken to our room immediately. The gentleman help carry up luggage. He then took us to a store close by for a beer. The room could have use a new bed. Spouse had the breakfast and said it was really good. We would stay here again."

"This place has real potential but they need to fix a lot of things. During my stay on the 3rd floor the elevator was out of service. Their decor is discarded urban trash. Their European breakfast fare is abysmal… good staff, great location, but a place in need of a lot of TLC "
