"We travelled in mid-September. The property was right in the town of Skadjfordur so it was great to walk around. The place is wonderfully decorated and the grounds are well kept. We enjoyed an evening hot tub while we were there. We stayed in the main building and no one else was staying in the other two rooms. I wondered how it would be to access the bathroom facilities if the building was full. There is one bathroom that has the toilet and the shower. As advertised, they have a kitchenette not a full kitchen. Parking was easy on the road. It was a restful stay. As a side note, we really enjoyed the all-you-can-eat soup at the cafe associated to the museum."

"Both nights the fire alarm went off..The second night we all stayed out in cold for more than half hour. There is no fire department near by. Their employee must need to hear the alarm and drive to reset."

"We had a fantastic stay! Great breakfast included in the stay. Incredible views from the property. There was a hot tub we never got the chance to use. Rooms were very clean, and larger than they look in photos. Would recommend! Perfect distance from town if you want to go shopping!"

"An ideal spot. I always wanted a little window seat in my bedroom growing up, and having one right up next to the docks/coast was the best feeling! In such a cute town too, the whole stay felt very homey and cozy, and a great place to stop if you’re exploring this area of Iceland."

"This is a great, very clean place right on the fjord. We were given extensive information about the property and expectations. We were able to see whale spouts and northern lights right from the porch overlooking the fjord. Host provided a lot of local information about things to do. We highly recommend."
