An older inn that has been updated and refurbished. They did a very nice job of this with thoughtful details making use of the space. There was no contact or front desk or place to return keys when checking out, which was a bit confusing, but otherwise a very conveniently located spot to stay, walking distance to park, water, places to eat, etc.
We stayed 2 nights in cabin 2 ...the room was great, super clean, well equipped and the location also great, walking distance to the park and town. The only negative is the very hard bed.. due to size of the space , the bed is a flip out couch however the mattress was like sleeping on the ground. (very hard ground) other than this, the place was perfect but be prepared (we wished we had brought an air mattress with us) .

Nice cabin close to lake and village
We didn't know what to expect and wanted a cabin near the lake but with privacy and independence. The Lone Pine was lovely and fitted the bill perfectly. It is beautifully clean and has everything you could need and although the weather was warm we managed to stay cool enough at night (no air conditioning). It was a good location for us to explore the area and walking distance to the lake and village for all our needs. We rented the cabin for 7 and were a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens) and it was a good size for us. I would recommend this place for a short break.
We loved this little spot. Hidden off the busy highway, short walk to the dog park. Our small dogs stayed free and they loved the freedom they had. Staff were very friendly and accommodated our needs. Accommodated our 18ft boat. Only 10 min. drive to Lk Muskoka which had a free boat launch.
The cabins were small but all we needed. Will return again
The unit was very well maintained and a perfect location to access downtown, parks and water. Suggestions were to have a door mat tray for boots and a kettle. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others
My partner and I stayed for two nights. The unit was large, with a separate living area and kitchen. They had thought of everything that someone may need for an extended stay! My only complaints would be the mattress (too hard) and the cable could have been better. I will be going back as the location was great and the staff very friendly!
Overall, Lone Pine is a great little place. Cottage #4 was a little tight for 5 (2 adults 3 kids) but was super clean and very quaint. The mattresses were not great but not as bad as some reviews led us to believe. And we had some trouble figuring out the TV so would recommend that the Inn put together a short operating instruction guide/FAQ sheet. A few more coat hooks would also be a good improvement. We would go back.

Nice but could be more comfortable
For the price I would've expected it to be more comfortable. The bed was very very hard and uncomfortable. To the point it wasn't a relaxing cozy sleep. This was a getaway trip for my husband and I for anniversary and would've liked it to be a lot more cosy and comfortable especially for the price that we paid. The TV barely worked and you only got a few channels that were choppy. There was no welcoming gift as stated in the agreement. With all that aside it was clean and nice
The room was clean and perfect for our trip. The cabin was clean, the bedding comfortable and all utensils etc looked like they had been recently upgraded. We were four people in the unit and were very comfortable. We will definitely return
