“I had a wonderful stay at this place next to Lake Dalrymple! The location was absolutely stunning, with serene lake views right from the property. It was the perfect spot for a peaceful escape, allowing me to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The home was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed. No phone number. No entry code. We arrived stranded and had to get a neighbour to track down the owner for an entry code. If that neighboor hadn’t been home, we would’ve been stuck.The so-called “entrance” is a joke — no real stairs, just a dangerous, slippery gravel slope leading to the door. It’s a……

“Bathroom floors and vanity not clean, sheets on one bed seemed damp, back porch was not clean, many days not clean, sliding doors had cobwebs at all corners, no screen door here, steps from parking to door in very poor, dangerous condition, kayaks were not cleaned off and made ready for use. This cottage had not been made ready for guests. Concerned that vrbo is advertising for unkept property. We wasted time, money, dreams of a wonderful weekend ruined!!”

“The host was prompt and responsive, which we appreciated. However, there were several issues that impacted our stay.The lower-level heat was not functioning (with outdoor temperatures around -5C). Portable space heaters were provided, but they needed to be used continuously and repeatedly tripped the breakers, making it difficult to keep the area consistently warm. The breaker panel was located in a cellar beneath a trap-door-style access, which was not readily accessible, making resets……

“What a superb stay in a beautiful location. We stayed in winter and the place was very comfortable for our group of 10. The host was very responsive and offered a late checkout without being asked. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. Highly recommended place to stay”
