Summary: they charged me a bogus fee for using a bed that should have been included in my reservation. It felt like a bait and switch and I really didn't like it. I booked a room for a family of five people. I was placed in a room with one queen/king sized bed, two twin beds, and a full/queen pull out sofa. Should be fine as there are 6 bed spaces in the room. However, at check in the receptionist said there was an extra $50/night to use the pull out. I pointed out that use of the pull out would be necessary to have a bed space for each person in my reservation and the receptionist agreed to send someone up to make up the pull out. She never insisted on payment, so I stayed. It turned out that the hotel was short on bedding, but eventually they found a single sheet, a small blanket, and a single pillow to make up the pull out. Not ideal but okay for a child. Certainly not worth $50/night. Then at checkout, as I'm trying to head to the airport, a different receptionist insisted that I pay for the pull out. Again, a classic bait and switch. How does a booking for 5 people not include the use of 5 bed spaces? How is a sheet, a pillow and a blanket worth $50/night? Why was it not clear I was being charged until checkout? I don't know the answers to these questions, but I do know I'd never stay here again.

Great stay. Family of 4 and made up the sofa bed too. Excellent breakfast and location in southbank. Great and convenient to Suncorp Stadium will be back.

It has charm but room difficult in terms of size and lift noise. Staff excellent and Brekky great
