Very nice hotel on the Lago Maggiore in Verbania! Staff was super kind to find the right room for my mother that is 82 and has mobility issues ! The area is very nice calm with many restaurants and cafe around .
Great location of the hotel and from there you can also take the little ferries to visit all the Lake’s Town and little islands !

My wife and I first visited Grand Hotel Dino several years ago on a tour, and the beautiful images remained with us. We decided to return this July and it was everything we remembered and much more. The hotel is spectacular and the scenery is as well. Hopefully on our next trip up north we will bring our entire family including our grandchildren. We know that they, too, will just love it.

We drove from Munich, Germany for a wedding to Lago Maggiore. Looking for hotels in Stresa, we found out that the prices where not very fair and quite expensive for something nice. Looking through hotels.com we found a brand new hotel which opened only in May 25th and seemed to be very modern and luxusrious with a great value. Grand Hotel des Lles Borromees is a wonderfully elegant hotel set lakeside with beautiful grounds and gardens. My wife and I extended our stay from 3 to 5 nights - expensive, but well worth it. The hotel room was spacious, clear and you could tell that the bathrooms had recently been renovated. The location is perfect, and walkable to all the necessary areas around. Older building, not too large by modern standards, nice elegant rooms. Just beautiful downstairs areas. Large breakfast room with terrace overlooking the lawns and one main restaurant. First and foremost the air conditioning in the room was amazing for an American!!!! Not your typical European AC. Also there was a mini fridge in the room. Breakfast was plentiful as an European breakfast. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I would love to stay here again. We had a double bed and plenty of spacious room for each of us within the room. We even had a little balcony.
