We were travelling with our dog so we got a pet friendly room. unfortunately as soon as I open the door, the room smelled very musty - definitely old dog smellls. The carpets smelled and felt dirty. It really was apparent that the carpets have not been steam cleaned or shampooed in a while. As it was a pet friendly room I understand other guests have likely not been cleanly with their dogs and it’s likely a difficult situation for the hotel maintaining a pet friendly room generally flooring would be a more cleanly choice when travelling with pets Also the sink did not drain and the tub was clearly in need of repair or refinishing. The musty smell quite frankly could’ve been coming from the sink. I did speak with the manager and they said that correct that. Our dog is quite clean, potty trained, and didn’t seem to mind, but it was very musty Overall, we enjoy staying at this property. The staff is kind and respectful, and I appreciate the ability to bring my dog travelling the extra money you pay for cleaning to go to a shampooer for the carpets or carpet carpets being removed so pets accidents won’t be as much of a problem.
