Newly remodeled offers many amenities with perfect location!

The Olde Homestead just newly remodeled offers many amenities and is perfectly located in the country just on the outskirts of city limits with easy access right off Hwy 21 on a very short dead-end lane. A large deck in front, a patio in the back and a fire pit (wood provided) under the trees allow you to enjoy the great outdoors, gaze up at the stars in the night sky, listen to the sounds of nature and possibly see a deer or turkey. A definite bonus is the garage/recreation room which is perfect on rainy days to play ping pong and corn hole and safely store your bicycles. You will also find the BBQ grill (charcoal provided) plus another table and chairs to use. If you do enjoy animals and/or left your beloved pets at home, you might be greeted my the small very friendly neighbor's dog, Sophie or feed a carrot over the fence to our horse, Fancy.
This three bedroom home has been completely remodeled including new cabinets and appliances including microwave, stainless steel full-sized refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, blender and mixer. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans and cooking utensils or use the charcoal grill outside. The house also has 2 modern and updated bathrooms. One has a shower and the master bathroom has a tub/shower combination. All new bedding and towels are provided. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and the other 2 bedrooms have full-sized beds. A twin-sized blow up mattress is in the master bedroom closet. The laundry room has a brand-new washer and dryer and a cabinet full of fun board games.
While here relax in the cozy living room in the reclining sofa and reclining love seat while talking about your day's activities or watching our brand new smart Roku TV. Each bedroom has a brand new smart Roku TV. Enjoy our free WIFI.
The beautiful Arcadia Valley has a lot to offer especially if you like to be outdoors. Hiking, biking, golf, disc golf, extreme downhill mountain biking, rock climbing, fishing, kayaking, history and more! We are close to outstanding parks such as Fort Davidson (1 mile), Shepherd Mountain Bike and Hiking Park (1.4 miles), Elephant Rocks State Park (2 miles), Taum Sauk State Park (7 miles), Johnson Shut-Ins State Park (12 miles), Millstream Gardens (11 miles) plus so many conservation areas.
Only 90 minutes southwest of St. Louis, you can be here in no time at all!

Wonderful Stay

It was a perfect place for the family to visit. We had a wonderful host and my kids loved the visiting dog and watching the horse. The master bedroom is in the back of the house separated by a step that gives the bedroom more of an isolated feel from the rest of the house.

Nice and Conveniently located in Ironton

We enjoyed the property very much. It was nice and cozy and conveniently located close to Elephant Rocks and Johnson Shut Ins. If we come back to the area, we would definitely stay at this property again. We were in town for a family girls trip and it suited us well.

Girls weekend with daughters

Property has everything you need, and more. Comfy, clean, quiet, efficient, and relaxing. Great staging area for SE Missouri fun. Will look to stay here again in the future.

Great place for families

We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Homestead. There was plenty of room for our family, the kids enjoyed the ping pong tables, and it was clean and comfortable. The location was great for us because it was close to so many state parks. The hosts even checked if they were open on Thanksgiving. All in all we were very happy with the place and would recommend it to anyone who is staying in the area.

Hidden gem!

Our family had such a great time at the olde homestead and we especially appreciated all of the extras like the Rec room in the garage, the fire pit, and the animals at the property. Our hosts treated us like the first guest they ever had, even after several years of hosting. The house was adorable and the proximity to the state parks was perfect! They have thought of everything and made us feel right at home!

Couldn't be better!

We had a WONDERFUL long weekend stay and highly recommend this house! Our hosts, Toni and Jim, took great care in creating a welcoming environment. The house is well cared for, clean, comfortable, and the details of the house made us feel right at home! The location is also wonderful - so close to great hiking and views. We hope to return in the near future, and we recommend this to others as well!

Great time!

This house was a great place for us to stay while we explored Elephant Rocks and Johnson's Shut-Ins. The house just the right size for my family and accommodated my young kids well. It was located within minutes of the beautiful parks, and we stumbled upon the Battle of Pilot Knob Historic Site, which the kids loved seeing. The host was responsive and kind. This rental was perfect for our trip!

The Olde Homestead is the place to stay!

The house is nicely renovated and clean. There were plenty of towels and blankets and everything was comfortable and homey! We wish we would have had more time to play with the games in the garage! The neighborhood welcoming committee ( a tiny white dog named Sophie) was the sweetest. She greeted us as we got out of our car when we arrived. There's lots of space to relax inside and outside. The owners are very nice. If you're headed to Pilot Knob, this is a great home away from home!

Clean and Comfortable

This house is great for a family or several couples. kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed the large deck. Although we didn’t use them due to the heat, the fire pit and ping pong table are a nice touch. Owners were very responsive and left us fresh veggies from their garden. Great place to stay while visiting Taum Sauk, Black River, The Shut-Ins or Elephant Rocks.

A wonderful reunion for 3 couples

This property is the best, most beautiful one in the area, perfect spot for a short drive to all of the State Parks. The house is well equipped with all utensils, cookware & dishes, along with outdoor barbecue needs.Very peaceful, nice front deck and two large patios, plus a double garage with a ping pong table and outdoor games. The firepit made for a nice end to long outing in the daytime.This location is perfect for our 3 adult couples to experience Elephant Rock (right around the corner), Taum Sauk Mountain & Johnson shut in's too. You could spend a full day taking it all in. Afree of charge - Love it! s table together.

Sisters Trip

My two sisters and I went to SE Missouri for a short trip. We stayed at The Olde Homestead for three nights. The check in process was very easy with directions from the owner. We appreciated that the house was very clean and welcoming. The beds were comfy with nice pillows. We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit a couple of nights. There is wood near the garage. The house was easy to find and near restaurants and things to do. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in the area.

Harley trip with friends

I went there with 3 of my lifelong friends to ride Harley Davidsons through the Arcadia Valley. The Olde Homestead is a beautifully remodeled property in a great location. The house is clean & newly furnished with 3 nice bedrooms (king & 2 fulls) and 2 full bathrooms, living room, etc. 2 decks/patio and a garage let you spend time outside regardless of the weather. The area is great for sightseeing, and it was great for motorcycle riding and the property is perfectly located for both. Restuarant's are close, people in area, and the hosts were super helpful answering our questions. Just an outstanding experience that I highly recommend.

Our stay at The Olde Homestead made our fall trip to Acadia Valley perfect. It was ideally located to state parks and towns. The rooms were well furnished with everything that we needed. It was super clean and everything was in great shape. The bed and couches were comfortable and the kitchen and dining room served us well. The outside setting was nicely landscaped. Thanks to our hosts who communicated with lots of information. We would book again when we visit that area next time.

The front porch was the best location for relaxing. Nicely furnished with comfy bedding and all necessary kitchen items. Would stay again and recommend to family.
