The place was spotless. They let me leave my luggage for 2 days while I was traveling elsewhere, and were so gracious and generous. The location can’t be beat—it’s centrally located to almost everything on the European side, and so walkable! The downsides: the hotel is in the middle of a very bustling night scene and directly over a wine bar. The rooms are filled with smoke in the evenings as a result. It is impossible to escape, even with the air conditioning on. Unfortunately, the bed is also quite uncomfortable, and the water in the shower never gets above warm. The restaurant downstairs was upscale and the room was great. We stayed on the first floor and it was loud from the street noise at night. It is a pain to get any taxi. The street is closed and no taxi or transport can access this. With luggage- it is extremely ridiculous to stay here. They SOMEHOW managed to help us get there but we’re not able to help us leave… weird. 2\. It is uphill and in the rain dangerous to walk here with cobblestone floors in the path to the hotel. 3\. It is super loud at night. Drums, singing, you name it. Hard to sleep. We were going to stay two more nights but it is hard to deal with the noise and lack of transport. Pros: 1\. İstiklal street is very close by 2\. It was a standart bad quality room door. Tha outside of the building needs to be taken care off as well but 8nside well decorate . Over all it was a comfirtable stay and great value of the money, cost affective. If you decide to stay at this hotel you wont regret. Bar staff Miss Sukran also made us happy with the special coctail named "Sukran (meaning thanks for everything from the heart in, Turkish) light,"/ Sukran light.
