olive grove oasis

for anyone wanting to escape the overbuilt expanse of the costa del sol and the tourist hordes,this is the place for you.surrounded by small towns of REAL spanish inhabitants,you have the opportunity to experience everyday life amid olive growing country and you have the bonus of great hands-on british hosts lisa and nigel who cannot be more welcoming and friendly.add to this the excellent well equipped apartment and you have the total vacation experience.a car is required as you are virtually surrounded by key spanish attractions in cordoba,granada,seville,malaga,ronda, etc. and the equally fascinating gibralter,all are accessible on day trips.or relax around the pool and explore the local small towns,enjoying the spanish cuisine and a slower pace of life.the options are totally yours and your hosts will make every effort to provide you with information.all in all the perfect idyllic spanish experience.

Couldn't have wished for a better property with its swimming pool and hot tub, great views and food.

Shared the experience of this property with my own family along with my brother & sister and their families. The owners made our stay here very enjoyable and helped us out with places to eat and visit and even ordered food in for us, which was good as the locals did not speak much English and we did not speak any Spanish. The weather was gorgeous and the swimming pool and hot tub made the stay even sweeter. Only downside to this holiday was that it was too short.I'll be sure to let all my friends know about this place Mandy from Oxfordshire.

Fanbloodytastic!!!!!

Well what can I say, amazing views, amazing rooms and amazing people!!!! I would recommend renting a car as the Villa is inland but this just adds to the experience!!!! Lisa & Nige are always on hand day or night and are always helpful with places to visit and the quickest routes to take... Very clean villa and Nige came and emptied the bins and cleaned the pool daily. We hadn't pre booked our plane seats & Lisa and Nige were only too happy to check us in online & print our boarding passes for us they couldn't do enough to help us. The people at the bar literally 5 mins away (not only the owners but visitors) were lovely people & so welcoming. Just a car drive away there are so many places to visit including Malaga, Terimolinos and Marbella we really did have a ball & it was just as excitable lazing about the villa and pool. I cannot recommend this Villa & Lisa & Nige enough. This holiday was with friends and our 21 month old daughter & their Children but we're thinking of a big family holiday in the near future and this is the place we shall be!!!! Thank yo so much Lisa & Nige!!!!

Unique Location

The location of the villa is amazing. Loved the ozone-cleaned swimming pool and hot tub. Very friendly owners, Nigel and Lisa. Most helpfull to inform us with anything. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to come back !

The best

This is what me and my girl call a perfect holiday. We booked the upper appartment and were very happy. More than great service, (the owners will help you in any way they can!) perfect appartment and facilities! It were 2 weeks of relaxing en enjoyment! It has beautiful surroundings and trips to Sevillia, Granada, Cordoba and Malaga are good too! We'll come back for sure! And probably with a group for they also rent to groups of ten to twenty. Made to feel special

We arrived at Casa Pino Solo, tired and hot after a long journey, not knowing what to expect, Our hosts were standing there waiting to welcome us and even helped us with our bags to our apartment. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The pool was not chlorinated, and the water felt silky. Lisa and Nige explained this was their new system. It meant we could swim without worrying about watering eyes. Much needed in the very hot sun we enjoyed during our stay. The hot tub was fabulous, and we made sure we made the most of that. Surprisingly a hot tub is especially relaxing in very hot weather. The place itself is set back far enough from the beaten track to be very peaceful, yet there is a bar within walking distance, and a beach by Iznajar Lake 5 minutes drive away, and the water there is clear and with no tide, there were a few children paddling around too. It was lovely watching the Kayaks and Wind Surfers from a secluded cove a little further along. We took time to visit a few places in the surrounding area, which included Seville and Grenada. They were both very amazing and for very different reasons. As an experience, we would recommend you book Football tickets for Seville if you can! The apartments are ideal for those who like a clean, welcoming place with exceptional views and more facilities than you would normally get for something of a similar price. It's ideal for those who like to explore, and although you need a car, Lisa and Nige can easily organise a taxi or even a coach. In fact Lisa and Nige would organise anything if you needed it! We know they have organised Flamenco dancing, Cookery Courses, Food delivered to the villa for your arrival (not just the groceries, but a cooked meal if you want it). Nothing is too much trouble for this couple. Our stay was enjoyable, relaxing and we will be going back.

A Return to Wonderful Place

Our 3rd visit to this wonderful villa has exceeded our expectations and past visits. It gets better each time. Lisa and Nigel greeted us like family (the good type). Our bedroom has new mattresses and bed linens and are most comfortable. The hot tube is hot the scenery is cool with olive trees in harvest, smelling like great olive oil salad and with the almond trees in bloom as well as some other fruit trees that I could not identify. What a great place to be in the early spring (In the 70s F and Sunny for 20 of the 21 days we were there. It is most convenient to Cordoba, Granada,, Malaga, Marbella and Ronda as well as natural wonders and parks, all within an hour's drive. Great country restaurants featuring Spanish specialties are close--just ask Lisa and Nigel--they have it down pat.

A sunny second visit !

Another fleeting visit house hunting which was made all the more enjoyable by the sunshine this time. Once again, the accommodation was spot on just what we needed. The bed I slept in was so comfortable I was reluctant to get out of bed in the morning ! Thank you for organising the two separate beds. And again thank you for all the advice and info. Hope to see you again soon but perhaps next time for a house warming party ! ?

Amazing.

We felt special !

Everything is thought to make you feel at ease right away at casa pino solo. Lisa and Nigel are anticipating your needs without intruding in your holidays. Services we could enjoy are really high quality, everything at your disposal ... for no extra charge, and that does make a difference with many places where you have a minimum at booking, and have to pay extra charges for any special service offered! The surroundings are peaceful, inviting to relaxation and "carpe diem" enjoyment. You never stay too long in such a place, and you only dream of one thing : go back!!

Casa Pino Solo in Iznajar

Excellent hosts, Nigel and Lisa, make this place. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always just an email or phone call away. The rooftop apartment was outfitted with everything you might need for a comfortable holiday whether you choose to eat "at home" or to dine in one of the many recommended restaurants found in your information book in the apartment. The scenery is breathtaking making al fresco dining on your private terrace a real pleasure. The pool, hot tub,billiard table, English satellite TV and free internet are all just added bonuses. The village of Iznajar is charming but beware of narrow and winding streets if driving. Better to park and walk into town. Be sure to visit the cemetery. It's interesting. Being well located in central Andalucia, there are many places to visit around the area. We highly recommend Casa Pino Solo.

Iznájar and More!

There’s a casa in Spain with one pine, Among almonds and olives and wine, If you have the idea, To see Andalucía, Call Lisa and Nige for a great time! We used Case Pino Solo as a base location for day trips to the Alpujarra, Morocco and many points in-between. It was great to have a cozy place with all necessary amenities to call home at the end of a long day or just to relax and enjoy to local pace. Lisa and Nige were very attentive to our every need but at the same time gave us the privacy that we wanted. While we traveled as a couple for this visit, I hope that we will one day return to share the charms of Iznájar with family and friends.

Fabulous Holiday at Casa Pino Solo

We spent two fantastic weeks at Casa Pino Solo in September 2012. The accommodation was excellent, we stayed in one of the ground floor poolside apartments, and we had everything needed to make our stay a comfortable and relaxing one. The standard of decoration, cleanliness, furniture and linen were excellent and we were provided with bath towels, pool towels and bath robes, which were definitely a well appreciated bonus. The pool was lovely and the jacuzzi was an added relaxing treat, both were well maintained by Nige. The pool table and table tennis provided us with recreational fun in the evenings. The owners, Lisa and Nige are truly wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble and they were so welcoming and helpful and a mine of information about the area which they so clearly love. It was a pleasure to have met them and they will do as much as they can to make sure that your stay is a memorable one, we were sorry to say goodbye at the end of our stay. The location is perfect if you wish to visit some of the truly stunning sights of Andalucia. We wanted somewhere so that we could visit Granada, Cordoba, Seville and Ronda, they are all within travelling distance for a day trip and we saw many beautiful sights that we will never forget. Priego de Cordoba is another little gem that is worth a visit. It is also perfect if you just want a relaxing time around the pool. All the restaurants and tapas bars that were recommended by Lisa and Nige were well worth a visit, the food was lovely in all of them. If you do not want to drive Lisa and Nige will organise a taxi for you, if you wish, which means that you can all relax. We would definitely recommend this accommodation to others and hope to return again sometime to visit some of the places that we missed. We would also love to see Lisa and Nige again. Jane & Dave

Great 10 days at casa pino solo

We really had a great ten days staying at casa pino solo. Thanks t its central location we could see most of Andalucia travelling from here. We travelled with our little boy (16 months) and we would also recommend the place for couples with little children. The place is very kids proof. The accommodation is also splendid: a heated pool, a pool table, darts, ping pong, etc. The rooms were spacious enough for a summer holiday and everything was provided to have a home cooked meal. But thanks to the tips of Lisa and Nigel you could also have a taste of the Andalucian Cuisine in some excellent restaurants near casa pino solo. Lisa and Nigel are excellent host and make a lot of effort to make yoy enjoy your holiday at the most. So we were very happy that we've chosen casa pino solo for our stay.

Wonderful Holiday at Casa Pino Solo

My lovely partner Steve and I were lucky enough to be invited to attend the wedding of a dear friend of ours in the area of Andalucia, we didn't actually get involved in the booking of the accommodation, we just put our money forward but when we saw the pictures of Casa Pino Solo we just knew we were going to have a great time. Before we had arrived at the Villa, the lovely owner Lisa was more than helpful and both she and her husband Nigel came to meet us on the evening we flew in, despite us being an hour later than we should have been. When we got there we were greeted with wonderful smiles and welcomes and a wonderful welcome pack of more than the usual essentials to keep us going! Lisa then promptly booked us a table at the nearest local restaurant 'Los Pajaritos' in Fuente Del Conde and assured us that Antonio would look after us, which he did. All we had to do was mention Lisa and Nigel, it worked!! We had the most amazing week after our arrival, the accommodation is spotless and luxurious, the pool is wonderfully inviting and immaculately maintained by the lovely Nige who comes and makes sure it is perfect and ready for you to use every morning and both Lisa and Nige couldn't have done more for us if we had asked! They were both absolutely wonderful and so helpful and caring I would thoroughly recommend a visit to this beautiful house in a beautiful part of Andalucia. We'll definitely be going back to see them both!

Olive Groves, Caves, Mountains and Lakes

We had a wonderful four night stay in one of the poolside apartments. Casa Pino Solo is superbly maintained, with a fantastic hot-tub, pool (a little smaller than it appears in the pictures but great for basking or children), BBQ, bikes, veranda, olive groves and is situated in a beautiful rural setting with many nearby walks and the lake. The apartment was immaculate with all the self-catering facilities you would wish for (salt and pepper shakers would be good!), ipod docking station, hairdryer, stereo, new large flatscreen TV, microwave, dining table, large leather sofa-bed and with another larger fuller kitchen for all guests to use. Lisa and Nigel are great hosts; providing local knowledge and recommendations, and deserve the high ratings Pino Solo has earned. They very kindly provide a welcome pack for arrival; it is worth noting the larger supermarket is in Archidona (which is only a 5 minute detour if driving from Malaga), and you may well wish to shop en route from the airport to avoid having to double-back on yourself later. Car hire is a must and enables endless sightseeing off the beaten track (Caves of San Marcos, Zahara, Grazalema etc); recommend buying an Adalucia road map. Overall, great place for off-season rural apartment rental in the midst of nature and for large group family/ friends holidays.

Idyllic Andalucian Retreat

As busy working parents we were really looking forward to a relaxing holiday with our 9 year old daughter in the beautiful Andalucian countryside. Casa Pino Solo exceeded our expectations in every way. A lovely, comfortable apartment presented beautifully by Lisa and Nige who made us feel very welcome and provided valuable advice about the surrounding area, local restaurants etc. An excellent base within easy travelling distance of Granada, Cordoba, Ronda and the coast. Puente perfecto

Hemos pasado cuatro días perfectos en Casa Pino Solo. No hemos tenido que salir de allí para nada, muchas actividades para entretenerse, como: piscina, tenis de mesa, billar, dardos, jacuzzi, bicicletas de montaña y algunas más... Todo estaba muy limpio y muy bien cuidado, hasta el último detalle. Nos recibieron con una botella de vino, explicándonos todo lo necesario para disfrutar al máximo de nuestra estancia allí, Nige y Lissa en todo momento han estado muy atentos a nuestras necesidades. Han sido cuatro días inolvidables que espero repetir.

relaxing stay in Andalucia

Casa Pino Solo was a great place to stay. In fact, despite the many beautiful locations nearby, we often just stayed at 'home' and enjoyed the pool, the sun and the brand new hot tub. It was a very relaxing place to stay, Nigel and Lisa are the best hosts you can wish for. They take their time to inform and help you with anything. Especially the driving instructions were excellent and very clear. You do need a car, the roads are not suited too well for going for a walk. We found Iznajar and the lake also very nice. We had a very pleasant stay and will be back! Thank you Nigel and Lisa! Annelies and Marco

MARAVILLOSO

Hemos pasado mi novio y yo, 4 noches estupendas, Nige y Lisa son encantadores, la casa tiene de todo (mesa de billar, pin pon, piscina, jacuzzi, bicis, etc--), muy limpio y acogedor, ideal para desconectar de la ciudad, repetiremos seguro, hemos quedado muy contentos tanto con la casa, como por supuesto con Nige y Lisa, muchos besos y gracias por tan agradable estancia. VACACIONES

Acabamos de llegar de pasar 4 noches en Casa pino Solo y solo puedo habalr maravillas del lugar, del entorno,del paisaje y por supuesto de Nigel y Lisa,sois encantadores,ha sido un lujo estar alli este tiempo ,con todo detalles en sus apartamentos ,muy limpios y en un ambiente de tranquilidad, los propietarios cuidan todo al detalle,la piscina,el jacuzzi ,bicicletas... lo recomendaria para todo tipo de personas , es un lugar inmejorable.Gracias Nigel y lisa por hacernos pasar unos dias inolvidables.Tenemos claro que volveremos un saludo Raul y Conchi.

Casa Pino Solo is fabulous!

We couldn't have had a warmer welcome! Fantastic villa in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. We wanted for nothing - the apartment was spotless, with all the comforts of home. We had grand plans to do all sorts of touring in the car during our stay - but found ourselves spending most of our time by the pool, enjoying barbeques in the evenings with a cold beer, oh, and the wonderful hot tub! Heaven! We're already planning a trip for our family and friends for a big holiday get-together! Lisa and Nige were so helpful in organising our stay - they are a couple who clearly care about what they do, and care that their visitors really enjoy their stay. We wholeheartedly recommend it!!
