This two bedroom, one bathroom condo is located in Fernandina Beach, only a five minute walk (1 and 1/2 blocks) from a quiet beach area where locals and nearby homeowners throw down their towels and enjoy the lapping sounds of the waves. This condo includes a fully equipped and well-stocked kitchen and comfortable, spacious living areas. The high ceilings throughout this condo create a wonderfully bright and airy environment for you to relax and make vacation memories in. Both bedrooms in Forest Ridge K7 boast large, comfortable beds, luxurious linens, and stylish furnishings. This Forest Ridge condominium additionally includes access to nearby grilling and picnic area, tennis court, playground, and pool. Surrounded by the brilliant, large oaks and canopies of Spanish moss, this property is the perfect location for a tranquil southern getaway. Forest Ridge K7 is perfectly situated on the thirteen-mile long, two-and-one-half mile wide island, minutes away from the water, Historic Downtown and Centre Street, where restaurants and shops are abundant, Fort Clinch State Park, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Omni Amelia Island, and other wonderful local attractions. Spend the day on Cumberland Island, which is only a pleasant ferry ride from the municipal docks in downtown. If it's the sunset you're interested in, take a short evening drive to dockside in Fernandina Beach, where the sunset overlooking the Amelia River is spectacular! You will not want to leave! All fresh linens and towels are provided for our guests. We also provide a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, dish washing soap, dish pods, and laundry detergent. Beach chairs, beach towels, and a beach umbrella are also provided for you to use during your stay. Please note, this property does NOT have an elevator. Pets under 50lbs are welcomed! No aggressive breeds and pet must be crated when guest is away from rental. We also ask all guests to complete a registration form with Amelia Island Vacations through the secure site of DocuSign. ​​​There is a credit processing fee of $35 that will be charged if you cancel your booking, regardless of the booking or cancellation date. However, it was uncomfortably warm upon arrival. We set the thermostat to 72 and left for lunch, hoping it would cool, but hours later there was no improvement. The company initially responded quickly and sent a maintenance person who said a repairman would come. Since we were only there for two nights, we went to the beach expecting the issue to be handled.That evening, nothing had been resolved. We followed up again, and the repairman finally arrived. He said he came earlier but couldn’t get in and couldn’t reach the company. He diagnosed the issue as an aging compressor that couldn’t properly cool the space. He said he would report back and mention relocating us, but we never heard from anyone again.The back bedroom was especially hot, and we didn’t sleep well either night. After checkout, we requested a partial refund. We were ignored for days, then finally told we’d get 10% back—but have received no confirmation or follow-up. That amount doesn’t even cover VRBO service fees or a single meal out.It’s not unreasonable to expect cool, comfortable accommodations—especially at a beach rental in summer. The condo has potential, but the lack of communication, accountability, and fair resolution makes it hard to recommend. The picture of the steps do not tell the whole story. Comfortable seating was nearly non-existent. One of two chairs on the porch was broken. The couch was a miniature. A lounge chair in the living room was worn out and very difficult to find comfort. As stated the couch was very very small and uncomfortable. The dining room chairs were the most comfortable. The toilet was very low to the floor and could be a problem for many. The condo was perfect for my husband and I. The only suggestion I have is not to use the laminated parking pass in your welcome book, I had a warning note on my car saying I would be towed because it is not valid, use the other one. My other complaint, It went by way too fast! Lol we made some great memories. The unit is nicely decorated and walking distance from the beach. Parking was easy in our own designated spot. The grounds were so pretty with the oak trees and the azaleas blooming.
