The inn keeper was warm and welcoming. The onn was immaculate and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and abundant. Staff was awesome. Room was spacious. Location right by the river and a quick walk to downtown. Breakfast was amazing both days. We love Meadows Inn- Linda, the owner made us feel so welcome, our room was very comfortable and her breakfasts are just wonderful! We would highly recommend Meadows Inn in historic New Bern by the sea. She’s also an Awesome Chef and Baker. We didn’t drive anywhere for 2.5 day stay. Didn’t need to. Bella cafe was our tea spot . We had a room on the 2nd floor that was comfortable. Every morning you are served an amazing breakfast made from scratch. On our departure day I told Linda the innkeeper we would be leaving early before breakfast she made us a sit down breakfast early before we left. I also heard here talking to other guests that had to leave and she prepared the guests with a togo breakfast. She is attentive and considerate, from ensuring that she includes plant based options as part of the delicious gourmet breakfasts she served to providing complimentary soft drinks (and wine) and snacks for her weary travelers who need to rest and rehydrate. The rooms and grounds of this 178 year old home are kept beautifully maintained and clean. The rooms are comfortable and pretty.
