“Very charming historic inn. Staff was nice and helpful upon check-in, and when i accidentally locked my key in the room. I booked the Bouvier room on the 3rd floor which was quiet and comfortable. Being a historic inn, I went in with the expectation that it would be low frills, which is was. But for the price, I think it's a great option for anyone staying in the Newtown area who wants historic charm and to be in the walkable State Street area. ”

“Wanted to get away from civilization for a bit with my dog, and this was the perfect spot. Everything i could have needed was provided, plenty of firewood and fire starter, the property is incredible with lots of room to roam. My dog loved the trails and open land. I want to come back as soon as I can!”

“The River house was such a beautiful setting! Made you feel you were very secluded yet so close to everything. Tom and Sharon were super hosts! Quick to respond and very caring of their guests. Our grandchildren loved being able to run around and skip rocks on the water. Would love to read the history of the house and the surroundings!”
