Not particularly hospitable. I was locked out of my room twice. I met a lovely elderly lady in her zimmer staed on my corridor,who was also having difficulty accessing her room. I offered to help. When that wasn't feasible I then went down to the reception. I rang the buzzer 3 times. Just no staff. Bags of rubbish left in the corridor. Fruit flies in my room suggest it may well be needing a look in to regards to hygiene. I did extend my stay, mainly due to mobility issues, but I doubt very much that I'll be back. A shame as it's a decent area. More effort is needed. (1,008 reviews) Hotel certainly fine, but our room (128) was terribly placed for being woken at 6am by pounding techno music and someone screaming over a PA system to motivate a gym class …. Had an early morning appointment in the vicinity and only stayed in hotel so I could get a long lie instead of waking up at 6am at home …. If you like sleeping at 6am you’d be advised to ask to stay on a higher floor or the other end… no idea where the sound was coming from but once it woke us up it was too annoying to get back to sleep! (1,002 reviews) Lovely staff, very friendly. Room was far too hot and air con only blew out hot hair despite being on the cold setting. We were on the lower ground floor so we couldn’t open our windows properly without having the curtains open which meant people walking down the side street could see directly in to our room. One of the windows was locked too. Bar closed early and would only serve bottled wine or beer.
