“Absolutely loved this quirky castle. The owners was so friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable about the castles history and did a personal tour which I loved. His love for the property showed so much in this tour. Breakfast was delicious and left nothing to ask for. Would stay here again. No complaints. ”

“After the hustle and bustle of the city, Chapel of Barras was just what the Dr. ordered. I’m traveling for pleasure, but also to finish a book I’ve been putting off, and this was a perfect stop. It was peaceful, quiet, perfect for my early morning yoga—followed by a delightful and filling homemade breakfast—a couple hours walking, then plenty of uninterrupted time to put pen to paper. Michelle and David were especially lovely: 10/10 would recommen. ”

“We had a lovely stay at Tor Na Coille Hotel & Restaurant. The rooms were beautiful and very spacious, and the staff were welcoming. We dined in the restaurant and I had the steak burger with a side of pepper sauce — it was really tasty, and the chef was great at explaining how they could adapt other dishes for gluten-free too. The gluten-free options on the menu were excellent and made the meal stress-free. Our evening meal was delicious, and the breakfast the next morning was equally great,……

“All is perfect! We loved all! My kids enjoyed the swimming pool, and I really loved the gluten free food! For me the Hunting chicken is the best Aberdeen’s hunting chicken (yes, eat the similar food in other differents places in Aberdeen! But, of the hotel restaurant is the best!).”

“All of the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfast was good and could be altered to suit different tastes. The bus service to get into town is a short walk from the hotel. It is not the best hotel and it is not the worst hotel by a long way but it suited us and we look forward to our next visit.”
