"Nice room with a deck, from which we saw the northern lights. Proximity to Jokulsarlon was the biggest factor for us to book there. Nearby guesthouse has restaurant, where we had a nice dinner. Shared bathrooms is the only drawback of this particular property"

It was my first stay at a hostel and I was nervous as I was staying in a co-ed room as a solo female traveller, but I felt safe the whole time. The bed was relatively comfortable and clean, and there is easy access to restrooms/showers. Some minor things were out of order like the hair dryer, but nothing concerning or inconvenient. The staff/owners were super friendly and helpful, and the area was perfectly convenient- if you plan on doing excursions with shuttle pick-up, the nearest bus stop to the hostel is only a 3 minute walk away (Bus Stop 8). As a bonus, it's next to Hallgrímskirkja as well as lots of dining/shopping options. I only paid about 112 pounds for 4 nights. Overall great value, I'd definitely stay again!

Great room and very easy check-in process. Centrally located- about a 5 minute walk to restaurants. The bathroom could have been cleaner, and the soap was running low.
