It’s a 10 min drive on a bumpy dirt road to get to this gem, giving you that true desert experience! It sits remotely in the middle of the desert surrounded by native plants & never ending skies! With a set of bunk beds, a queen bed, & futon it's perfect for a group of friends! The new kitchen, hanging hammock chairs, fire pit, & outdoor tub & shower are just a few reasons why this place is perfect for you to sit back, relax & star gaze!✨ The space 🌵Super Remote & Quiet Location 🌵Perfect for Stargazing!!! 🌵Prime Location to Joshua Tree RV & 🌵Campground where they host the infamous Joshua Tree Music Festival 🌵Outdoor deck with tub & shower combo 🌵Smart TV 🌵Outdoor Fire pit 🌵Large Pergola with Hanging Hammocks 🌵Fully Equipped Kitchen 🌵Studio with 1 Queen, 2 Twin Mattresses (bunk bed) & 1 Futon 🌵Large Yard with Plenty Outdoor Seating 🌵Beautiful View of Joshua Tree Skies & Desert Land 🌵 Reliable Wi-Fi for Streaming & Web Surfing (not optimal for multiple devices/working from home) Guest access ⭐️ You will have access to the entire property! Also, be mindful that there are cactus plants in the yard and they can get pricks in their paws. SORRY NO CATS ALLOWED 🌵THE DRIVE: It’s about a 20 minute drive from Downtown Joshua Tree, with the last half being on a unpaved dirt road. (Expect a fun bumpy dirt road for the last 10 minutes) - It’s a 30 minute drive from the West Entrance to the JTNP 🌵 AMENITIES: We provide towels, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels & trash can liners. ✨THINK OF THESE ITEMS AS “STARTER KITS” - Highly recommend you bring additional items such as extra towels/blankets/pillows/soap/shampoo/coffee/salt/pepper/cooking spray/water bottles etc✨ 🌵 ENTRY: There is a keypad located at the front door for a simple keyless entry. Entry code will be provided to you 48 hours before arrival. The code is changed after every guest. 🌵 PARKING: There is a plenty of parking space! 🌵THE LOCATION: It’s in the middle of the desert and about 15-20 minutes from the nearest store/gas station so highly recommend you stop beforehand to grab everything you need! (Don’t forget drinking water!) 🌵INTERNET: The house has reliable Internet, but the speeds aren’t the fastest given the remote location. It works well for streaming Netflix on the television, multiple phones connected using social media and email, but you’ll see reduced speeds if you have multiple people performing bandwidth heavy activities (zoom calls/downloading and uploading large files etc.) You can access your Hulu & Netflix accounts with the Smart TV 🌵OUTDOOR SPACE: Fire pit, lounge chairs, hammock chairs, a deck with lounge chairs and shower/tub & outside picnic table available for you to enjoy! ✨PLEASE remember to pick up after your dogs!✨ 🌵OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: Bring your quad or dirt bike and enjoy the 2.5 acres of open desert road! 🌵 BEDS: There are 2 twin beds (bunk bed), one futon, & a queen bed, which can accommodate up to 6 people. There is also enough space to bring an air mattress! 🌵 KITCHEN: Fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave and all the basic kitchen essentials; Pots/Pans/Plates/Cups/Utensils 🌵 SECURITY: A Ring Flood Light security camera is located at the front and back of the house for your security. NO cameras inside the property ☆PETS☆ We love hosting pets (SORRY, NO CATS ALLOWED)! We happily welcome up to two dogs (up to 50 lbs) at our home with an added pet fee of $100\. If you're planning to bring your furry friends along, please don't hesitate to send me a message! Just a few other notes! You are expected to clean up after your pet, in the house, and in the yard. We have a small dog bed at the house available for you but also ask that you provide your OWN blanket for them to lay on if your pet prefers that. Dogs are NOT allowed on our furniture/beds/couch/blankets/sheets and an additional cleaning fee will be charged if dog hair is found on these items at check out. If you book and bring more than two dogs, you’ll be subject to additional fees. It's worth the extra drive down the dirt road to be In such a beautiful quiet place. I am glad i borrowed my moms AWD Subaru. My honda accords lower profile would not of done well on the dirt road. The bed was super comfortable and we both were very well rested. The hot tub was a great addition along with the fire pit. It’s a great place for couples and we were even able to get a lot of school work done during finals week. Checking in was very easy. I loved the fire pit and hot tub, and it was even better stargazing than in Joshua Tree National Park! We highly recommend this place if you want some peace and quiet and STARS!The dirt road leading to the vrbo was relatively flat so we were able to make in a Honda Accord no problem, but driving it the first time was very stressful because we arrived at night. Overall, we don't recommend trying to drive it more than necessary, so plan accordingly.The hosts were very attentive (maybe a little bit too much, but better than not attentive enough). The only issues we had with the vrbo were 1) the toilet seemed to be leaking and refilling every 5 minutes so we had to shut the bathroom door to drown out the noise and 2) the remote for the tv didn't work unless you were sitting close to the end of the bed, which was a little annoying when trying to change the channel (but we loved that we could log in to our streaming accounts!)Overall, great stay! My boyfriend and I stayed here to do some hiking and stargazing. It’s location is close enough to town to enjoy the town and the national park, but far enough away that you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. The management communicated well. The hot tub was amazing for me, but my husband was put off by the bees and dirt from the nearby tree. there was a neighboring house visible from the backyard, but I didn't see any people over there; and the hot tub and back of the house were very private because of the tree. This property was perfect. The photos are very accurate. What you see is what you get. The place is small, clean and relatively well stocked. Be sure to take supplies with you for food and drink. The bumpy, sandy, rocky road leading into the property is not something you want to do often and it is a fair distance from town. We cooked simple meals and enjoyed the marvelous outdoor space. We used the fire pit, the hot tub, the hammock swings, the horseshoe pit, and that glorious outdoor bathtub. We took a siesta inside and it was cool and delightful. We stayed two nights and spent both from sunset to well into the night outside watching that marvelous sky. If a place well off the beaten path in the middle of the desert is what you want this is the place. I booked this home as a Birthday Trip for my husband who loves all things space. The stargazing is what drew me to this property and my goodness, IT DELIVERED! We have never seen the sky so full of stars until this spot. I love that it was on the edge of the community and there was only two houses in view when in the backyard. The kids had fun on the bunk beds. The jacuzzi was clean and comfortable. The fire pit with chairs and swings/chair hammocks were amazing. Very well decorated. We really enjoyed the hot tub. Unfortunately due to weather we really weren't able to enjoy the hammocks. The cabin is well equipped with all the things you need and has a beautiful view of the mountains through the large windows. The outdoor area is perfect to be outside where we spent a lot of our time, especially in the jacuzzi and outdoor bathtub. Both were very very enjoyable at night watching the stars. We took many great photos here and loved the bunk beds making it feel like a camping adventure. This little home felt clean and well maintained.
