The property was run down and needed to be upgraded. There were stains on the carpet throughout the halls. The chlorine in the pool was so strong we had to open the windows and doors because our eyes kept watering even though we were not swimming. I paid $240 for the room which, based on the condition should have been less than $100.

Its a good location if you’re going to a game at the Children's Mercy and includes Buffett breakfast.

The room was very spacious and overall clean. You definitely get what you pay for. There haven’t been any updates. The bathtub sloped down so I felt like I was going to fall and almost did a couple times. The mattress was very hard and lumpy and the bedding was thin. There was no bed skirt so you could see the two dingy box springs. The furniture in the sitting area was worn and starting to tear. Again, you definitely get what you pay for so be prepared.

The property was very dirty. The staff was not very helpful and still do not continue to be helpful. I checked out a day early and was charged for both nights. I keep trying to contact the hotel without success. They either stop replying or hang up or get "disconnected."

The night manager was exceptionally rude. We called to tell the property that we would be arriving at 11:45pm, but when he opened the door for us he wasn’t cordial at all. I’d say he was rude to everyone in our party of 4. This is not the way to run a hotel as first impressions are very important. If I had need for a hotel in Kansas City, I would not stay there again!

The room I booked was misleading. It was supposed to be a suite with a couch that folded out in a bed. Ther was a jacuzzi tub in he room and when you opened the couch out, no one could get to the bathroom without walking on the bed or stepping into the tub. Just not safe. The room was not a suite compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in.

We've stayed at this property before and it is showing its age. Carpets, paint, facilities etc are all tired and worn, stained etc. There were a few large holes cut out of the hallway ceilings. Check in was easy and fast and the breakfast offerings were good. However, we don't plan to stay again until it's been refurbished.
