"Lovely place to stay if you’re planning a trip to Oxford; a short walk from the main tourist attractions, close by to West Gate Shopping centre and just a stone throw away from the Thames. Lovely staff was very helpful and accommodating, would definitely come back the next time we visit"

"Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Cherry Tree. The room and place were lovely and quite modern considering how old the building is.
There was only one shower towel and half a toilet roll when we checked into our room, as well as 1 of each tea/coffee so it seemed our room was prepared for one, however the staff were very helpful to sort this for us straight away.
The location was good for what we wanted, and we enjoyed a lovely evening in Chinnor (although be aware it's a 30 minute walk on...

"This hotel is great and the staff go above and beyond to help and care for you during your stay. It’s ’no frills’ but perfect for a weekend stay or business trip. Ask to go into the newer rooms for a better room and nicer bed etc."
"A really convenient hotel for central Oxford (and Blenheim) as close to the park and ride. There's a bus stop directly outside the hotel that takes you right into the centre of the city for less than £3 - meaning you can avoid the congestion & clean air zone charges by leaving the car in the huge car park. Reception is lovely, as are the staff, lots of little extras...free fruit, free cold drinks & spritz for the grown ups - which on the hotest day of the year was very welcome! The bedroom was spacious & the air con actually worked & the room cooled within minutes, which as the temps reached 34° was a huge bonus & meant we slept soundly! Only criticism would be, whilst the bedroom looked relatively newly renovated, the bathroom was dire!!! The bath had repairs around the edge with sharp edges on the bath side, the door hinges were orange with rust and the bottom of the door had huge chunks of psint missiing... tbf the whole bathroom felt like it hadn't been updated since the early 80s & it was tiny! The bedroom was huge & could easily have given space up to a larger bathroom. We only stayed for one night so didnt raise the issue with the poorly repaired bathroom with reception, but when I stay here again (and I will stay here again!) I will insist that the room we are given have a much better/updated bathroom next time."
"Fabulous hotel, extremly well maintained and clean. Staff very welcoming. Breakfast good variety and pleasant environment. Would return and recommend.
Thank you"
"Great hotel with loads of character. Perfect location for exploring Oxford and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning."
"The room was quite clean, but I did not like that the carpet in both the room and the hotel was very dirty. I believe a hotel should not have carpets in such poor condition.
The staff was okay, but not very friendly. I think this may be related to the way British people are, although if you work in customer service, you should always provide the best experience possible.
The breakfast was excellent, with very helpful staff and delicious, fresh food. Parking was average.
Also, the lack of air conditioning in the room was very inconvenient, and there was no ice machine available either."
"Enjoyable two night stay. Very warm, which made the pool a godsend. Breakfast was a bit cramped and bland, if I was being picky. Lovely room, great bed and good size walk-in shower. Overall, a very definite thumbs up."
