Or visit the family-friendly Lake District Wildlife Park (2 miles) where you can meet red pandas, lemurs, meerkats, yaks, and zebras.

Step inside this traditional country-style cottage and leave coats and boots in the hall. Walk through to the living room and unwind after a lofty hike in cosy leather seating by the warming open fire. Choose from a selection of books and curl up for some quiet time by the reading lamp. Or, watch favourite programmes on the TV with Freeview. Head into the open-plan kitchen and dining area where guests can prepare delicious feasts together. The well-equipped kitchen features an electric double oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, and convenient dishwasher. The utility area features a washer/dryer and useful storage space. Gather around the dining table to enjoy family games and enjoy the garden views. Open the latched door and step up to the winding staircase which leads towards the bedrooms – enjoy farmland views from the window on the landing, and garden and fell views from the bedrooms.
