This traditional cottage is set in the Heart of ’walker’s paradise’ Rosthwaite, with the fells surrounding this village in the beautiful Borrowdale Valley. Lobstone Cottage was drawn by A Wainwright and appears in his book ’The Coast to Coast Walk’. This property can be booked together with Nokka (117108) to accommodate up to 12 people. We did not use the car once during our stay. A note in the information booklet said the cottage is undergoing a refurbishment in winter 2025, so hopefully some of the facilities will be modernised. A set of decent knives would have been good. The major drawback for us was the proximity of the cottage to the main road.
