The town is surrounded by the dramatic peaks of Skiddaw and only 1.5 miles from Derwentwater, where you can partake in water sports like canoeing, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding against a spectacular backdrop. For a leisurely walk or cycle, join the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trail (0.5 miles) for a scenic 6-mile round trip, following the path of the old railway and crossing the River Greta on historic Victorian bridges – if you’re lucky, you may spot herons and dippers. For rainy days, local highlights include the intriguing Puzzling Place (1 mile), a cinema (0.5 miles), welcoming bakeries and pubs, or Keswick’s indoor climbing wall, 2 miles away.
On arrival, step inside this single-level home into a welcoming hallway leading to all the other rooms. To your left, the cosy carpeted lounge awaits with its inviting electric flame-effect fire and TV – perfect for relaxing after a day out in the fresh air. Through the large window you’ll be able to admire a magnificent vista over the surrounding mountains.
