The house is exactly as you’d imagined from the listing, spacious and clean and well equipped with everyday necessities, and offering outdoors toys and outdoors space and a great dock for a boat (we did rent a boat for a week and everything was great). It’s in a gated community and our dog was thankful to be on quiet daily walks there sniffing around along the mangroves. Communication with the host was easy and reliable, and we were even treated to welcome gifts and enjoyed the seasonal decoration (and especially the kids loved the Christmas tree). Being in a gated community, there is no thru traffic--so the road is very safe for walking pets. The property has a nice dock with a freshwater hose--which was super helpful for cleaning up our scuba gear after saltwater dives. The owner had a cheery welcome basket on the dining room table upon our arrival, which we very much appreciated. The hot tub downstairs was fun too. It was nice a quiet/private with the canal that provided so much fun for my family. From fishing, bird watching to nicknaming a manatee who liked to visit on a regular basis. My 13 & 15 yr old were never bored with games, bikes, fishing and so much more. The home had everything you could ever need from cooking, sleeping arrangements to games and pool toys.
