"Amazing spot. Clean and well maintained. I appreciated that they kept the property history intact while fixing things. The cozy desk and couch upstairs with a view of the sun rising over Trinity is great place to start a day writing or working"

"What a lovely cottage! We stayed 4 nights in October, using the cottage as a base to explore the entire Bonavista peninsula. First, the basics: the bed was comfortable, the pillows were comfortable, the temperature was adjustable, the shower was easy to figure out, and the location was quiet but not remote. Now the rest: there were many kitchen and bathroom amenities provided, and lots of info about the local area and restaurants. Communication was clear, from how to check in/out and info about the various aspects of using the cottage, to clear instructions for how to get in touch should we need something. Having 2 bathrooms and laundry facilities was extremely handy. The view was spectacular, even when the weather kept us inside. We'd definitely stay again."

"We arrived to a cleaning hiccup, but the host was responsive and effective in getting things sorted immediately. We liked the house for two people, but were paying for a place that sleeps six. Our choice of course; choices were very limited in early September. If mobility is a consideration, as the host notes, there are steps from the main bedroom to the bathroom - which are pretty well lit at night- and a steep staircase to the attic bedroom."

Tickle Cove Boat House

Tickle Cove Boat House

10/10 Excellent
"This is a unique experience in a changing place. Good for solo travelers or a single couple, this is a compact but comfortable property literally on the water. There are some caveats to staying here such as no TV, no wifi, and a ladder to get up to the bed. As long as you understand these things (which the hosts do an excellent job outlining before you come) you will enjoy your stay in the boathouse! Don't forget to take in the beautiful Fox Island trail (you simply walk from the boathouse to start)!"

"This was one of the best rental properties we have ever stayed in. Stephen is an amazing host, who was very easy to communicate with, and very prompt with his responses. The kitchen was very well equipped, and stocked with all the basic necessities. Stephen even had two sets of walking poles that we were able to use on the trails. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to set up a homebase in the Buena Vista area. Thanks Stephen for sharing your lovely property with us.DeDeckers and NoonansTillsonburg and Bracebridge Ontario"
