"I stayed in this hotel a few times before and I booked it again mainly because of the steam/sauna rooms. Sad to say I definitely will not return to this hotel in future. As before I booked the Standard Double Room. The room is supposed to have a small sofa/ chair by the bed, as featured in the standard double room photos, apart from a chair in front of the desk. In the room I got this time, there is only one chair by the desk. Also, the fridge did not work - it's warm inside. I called the front desk and asked for another room. To avoid misunderstanding on whether to categorise the furniture in question as a chair or sofa, I specifically said there was only one chair in the room in front of the desk. The lady who answered my call assured me that in a (mere) standard double room only one chair is available for guests, almost in a mocking tone. So I went down to the front desk and asked for another room. The staff apologised and said that not all standard double rooms have that piece of furnture. In the end I still got a room with only one, uncomfortable chair by the desk. However, I later found out that the phone in the room did not work; so when I had to contact housekeeping, the only choice was to go to the front desk... Front desk staff are very helpful and friendly, to be fair. But there are lots of other hotels in the area with way more comfortable rooms, which include a sofa and functioning fridge/phone. I surely will not return to Clarion The Hub."

"The hotel was fabulous, it was exactly what we were looking for. Ideally located for the ski museum and a 15 minute walk downhill to the train station, uphill on the way from the train station! The hotel has the most spectacular views over Oslo and Oslofijord. The breakfast is plentiful with options for everyone. We stayed over Christmas and were disappointed with the Christmas Buffet (the options were very limited compared to what was advertised, the limited dishes made it very overpriced, even for Christmas Day), drinks from the bar are expensive but no more than the rest of Oslo. The lounge areas are gorgeous and very peaceful with a wood burner/fire on the first floor and a fire pit on the ground floor. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The view from the rooms with a balcony at the front of the hotel have the most beautiful sun rise and sunset views over Oslo. The family rooms are generous when the sofa bed is as a sofa but a bit cramped when the sofa bed is out. The double rooms are quite small and seem to be on the opposite side of the corridor so the window overlooks the section of hotel behind so have no view to look at. Overall the rooms were clean, we had a double and family room and if in the rooms, i.e. presents on Christmas morning, we stayed in the family room as the double had limited floorspace Aside from being disappointed with the Christmas Day meal, we had a fantastic stay and have already looked into returning for next Christmas. "

"When we arrived we were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment, the room was fantastic and the staff were exceptional. Breakfast was really good plenty of choice and great quality the staff were fantastic. Very clean, lovely comfy beds Would definitely recommend "

"Very good hotel conveniently located within walking distance of landmark attractions such as the national theater, the royal palace, City Hall, the Nobel Peace center, restaurants, and Oslo fjord boat tours docks. The hotel also provides great breakfast with lots of options and is within walking distance to the train station."

"Good sized room with comfy bed. Bathroom was on the tight side. Good work desk and wifi, and room included a small fridge. Excellent breakfast with lots of choices."

"No amenities not even a water bottle or coffee in the room. Construction work across a one lane street was noisy. A conscience hotel would post it is in a Construction Zone. Strawberry’s Comfort Xpress established that its personnel will lie to get business, and the price gouge lodgers. Reserved at $139/night. I was then told there were NO rooms available for an extra night. Suddenly, an extra appeared (actually the Xpress was mostly empty as a fire alarm prove). The charge for one extra night was $305!! At check in I was told the rate would be a little higher…Right, more than Double."
