“Check in was easy and efficient. The room was all that could be expected, plus a few extras. A jar of a variety shortbread biscuits was a surprise along with an extremely varied options for hot drinks, i.e. Horlicks. A bowl of fruit was also an unexpected delight. The bathroom was well appointed, with shampoo, soap etc in pump pots. The bed itself was supremely comfortable with more than sufficient coverings. A large fan completed the array of convenience items, really handy with recent weather...

“This is a little gem of an inn. The drive along the way is picturesque and Otterburn itself is darling. Our host for the Old Post Office was very accommodating. We arrived after the normal check-in time and she was very welcoming. Our room was immaculate and our shower had lots of hot water. Breakfast was excellent, including our coffees (flat white and vanilla latte). We also enjoyed the back patio area with plenty of seating. Definitely recommend this inn!”

“I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem. “Lovely room however the large radiators were belting out high heat all the time and they could not be turned off in your room, the temperature was like a sauna. A fan was provided but hardly took the edge off the sweltering temperature. The windows could not be unlocked so no air in the room. Such a shame or it would have been perfect.”

“Excellent facilities. Lovely breakfast. Large room with nice clean bathroom. Pleasant and helpful staff. Parking available on site. Location is very central and a short walk to the centre of the village. Also had a very nice walk to a waterfall which finished back at the First & Last Brewery Tap for a refreshing couple of pints of the local ale. What's not to like!”
