“Ideally situated for not just exploring the Wall but also for going North to Alnwick and the coast as well as central Newcastle. Very warm with plenty of hot water for bathed. Spar shop very close by selling most things including lids for stove. Hoste friendly and helpful. However, little privacy in front kitchen or outside. Views there but not as advertised.”

“was able to park just in front of stable room
work is in progress at the property so didnt look its best on the outside,inside was fab we had everything we needed plus extras like fridge ,toaster,microwave plenty of plates mugs dishes good drinks making equipment,single beds were comfy and spotless,tv was a bit confusing but we managed in the end,we had a lot of noise on the 2 nd evening and early morning could have been the workmen🙄
the royal oak pub is extremely welcoming drinks and meals……
