Hotel Sacher Salzburg is a 5 stars hotel located in the city of Mozart's birth place and where it filmed the movie The Sound of Music. They just celebrated their 150 years anniversary last year. All rooms are newly renovated in a classic but modern way. It's in the best location of Salzburg. Walking distance to any tourist sites.
Their service is extraordinary. Especially the staff in the restaurant. Even the trainees there are very friendly. They also provide very good breakfast.
The only thing the hotel needs to improve is the quality of the bed linen and pillows. As a 5 star hotel, they shall use a higher thread linen. Even they provide pillow menu, the quality of the pillows are not up to a 5 star standard.
Tip:
1) It's a Leading Hotel of the World group hotel. You can get free breakfast if you are a member of the group. Enrolled online before checking in the hotel.
2) It's an Expedia +VIP hotel. +Gold members of Expedia are entitled to Free Upgrade.

Vielleicht lag es am Ende der Sommerssaison, aber wir waren mit dem Service nicht so zufrieden bzw fanden ihn nicht 5* würdig. Ein paar Beispiele: beim Checkout war die Rezeption mit 1 Person besetzt, sodass man auch telefonisch keinen Kofferwagen bestellen konnte und die Koffer dann selbst runterbringen ...
