“This was a comfortable, roomy cottage. We used it as a home base for exploring the Isles of Harris and Lewis. The owners were friendly and very responsive. This is still one of the spots we rave about after our trip. There is a great little coffee/tea/shop just at the end of the drive with a friendly proprietor and even friendlier doggo. ”

Situated at the north end of Lewis it’s quite remote but amazingly peaceful. Limited places to eat out and you need to book well ahead but the local restaurant does takeaway in the evenings and it’s two minutes away in a beautiful setting above the harbour and beach. “The property was exactly as it looked in the pictures, it was airy, clean and spacious with lots of room for the whole group to get together but plenty of quieter space for some 'me time'. We already know the island and have lots of family there and Jan and Callum offered to come and extend our table if they were coming over, asked where we needed safety gates and provided top class toddler safe equipment. The weather was great so we made very good use of the local.beaches and garden too. Great……

The property is clean and welcoming and provides a good base to explore Lewis (and Harris) Good easy walks available locally from the property but also a good site from which to experience the island (I cannot vouch for the public transport situation)”
