We stayed at the Reef at Atlantis for 5 days and 4 nights. Overall the grounds were immaculate, the rooms were spacious, staff were very friendly, and the decor was impressive.
The downsides were that the waterpark was one of the main reasons we went, but every day only 3 of the slides were open. It would seem they couldn't get enough lifeguards to have all of the slides open which was fairly disappointing.
However, the "lazy river" is an engineering marvel and we were all blown away by the fun rapids sections, how extensive and long it was, and how well it ran.
Food is quite expensive at about 1.5x to 2x what you would expect in Canada for what you're getting.
The distance between places is also incredibly vast. Like it's fine overall, but if you're staying at the reef, but want to go to the main beach or the water park...try not to forget anything as it's a +1 km walk lol
We knew most of this going in (except for the non-running-water slides) so had reasonable expectations.
Overall, pretty solid resort, with friendly staff, but likely wouldn't go back mostly as the style and enormity of it isn't really our style.
