The bedrooms had extremely poor ventilation and became unbearably hot, forcing us to leave doors open, resulting in little sleep and no privacy.One bedroom turned out to be in the garage, which was not clearly disclosed. That room also had spiders, making it unusable. The kitchen stove did not function properly—one burner barely worked while another overheated—so we were forced to eat……

“The Sparrow’s Nest was delightful! The perfect place for a family snow getaway. We loved the wood burning stove and the perfectly appointed kitchen. The house was sparking clean and cozy! Jamie was a wonderful host. Can’t wait to visit again!”

“The tiny cabin in Shaver was lovely. Everything was pretty much exactly as advertised, and the location was off the main road and easy to find. Restaurants and convenience stores were just a short distance and passwords and codes were provided. The fireplace worked perfectly and made the space feel cozy. The mattress was a little lumpy and the sheets and blankets probably could have used a good wash, but nothing that took away from the overall experience. ”

“The cabin was in a nice location with easy access to Shaver Lake. The wood fireplace warmed the house nicely, be sure to bring your own wood and matches. There are three bedrooms the downstairs queen bed is comfortable, the upstairs queen bed was really hard to sleep on and the room with the bunkbeds was not comfortable for teens so we would recommend only for small children. The house was nice and clean and was a nice place to play in the snow. ”

“This cabin is such a hidden gem. Every amenity you would need along with historic authenticity and charm. So much nicer than staying at the park lodges. It's got a great local bar and grill right across the road and we enjoyed having a beer there after a long day. Highly recommend this cabin!”
