We booked a suite, which was very reasonably priced. It had a very comfortable king size bed and next to the bed to our surprise was a nice deep jacuzzi big enough for two!! Wow, it was so relaxing after a long day! There was a kitchenette, eating area with the table set beautifully for two people. A plush couch and tv topped off the room. A continental breakfast, comfort, cleanliness , exceptional customer service and a great location!! We will definitely stay at the Granite hotel again. We found a nice walking trail right across the street from the hotel which is lovely. We ate in Black’s Harbour at The Kitchen which was superb!! Down home good and excellent customer service. The chef came to our table to chat and to ensure our meal was enjoyable. The steak was cooked perfectly, the baked beans were homemade with molasses and the sandwiches were mouth watering. A variety of burgers, sandwiches, main dishes- from rosemary pork chops to lasagna to breaded haddock was offered. I had the Ham and Havarti sandwich on sourdough bread and it was grilled till the cheese melted into the bread and the generous portion of ham was so tasty- suffice to say I didn’t leave a crumb! The fries are homemade and the cheesecake heavenly 😊

We stayed there for three nights in August 2026, and everything was great. There was always coffee or tea available, and the breakfast was very well done. The lady that serves the breakfast, I’m unsure of what her name was, but she was amazing. The only thing that I could say that I found was that the room had a very strong smell that I believe came from the carpet and the furniture. The room was clean, but the smell was not very good.
